It was a relief that I didn't feel physical pain.

When these men and women whom I tried to kill attacked and threw blows back at me, I felt nothing. It made murder easier on my side. The screams they let out were the only difficulty. They sounded hopeless and pitiful. In the end, they were once humans, too. It was unfortunate that they lost their way throughout their life.

"If you're lucky enough, you might be reborn," I said before smashing someone's head onto the ground. "In this life, you're no good. You'll only bring harm to others."

Maybe they wouldn't have lost their ways if I carried out my duties with a little more care. I should have done a better job. I should have been a real Heavenly Virtue.

It hurt.

"Anhye!"

I was turned to the side with a tight grip on my shoulder. Temperance gaped at me full of disbelief and shock. I had never seen her so livid before.

"Are you insane?! What are you doing right now?! What-" She took a glance at the mess I made. "Are you in your right mind?!"

"I am," I calmly stated. "I'm doing what I should be doing."

"No! This is not what you should be doing!"

"I'm receiving my punishment. I did so many wrong things and I don't deserve to be treated better."

Angels appeared around us, making her gasp, and announced what crimes I had committed. This was what I knew will happen, but I felt the slightest rush of fear when looking at them.

Temperance suddenly grabbed my hand and teleported us away from them. I stared at her in shock, asking her why she did that.

"Why would I give you away like that?!" She shouted, making me flinch. "You will disappear forever, dumbass! You lived with abusive families and you never looked happy when you were with us. Now you're going to die without even experiencing happiness! That's why I'm asking you why?! Why for the love of God did you do that?!"

Seeing her so desperate made my chest squeeze. But I couldn't drag her with me. I cared about her, too.

I pulled her in for a hug and whispered, "Bada, I was happy with you. Don't ever misunderstand."

I pulled back and smiled at her before teleporting back. "Thank you, Bada."

"Cha Anhye. You will come with us now."

I looked back at the angels with the smiley badge Hoseok gave me in hand.
