Chapter 3

The next day

School had just broken up so izuku decided this would be the perfect time to start his extreme and hellish training.

He had a couple of places in mind where he could train, the first was dagobah beach, the next was an abandoned pool, and finally an abandoned warehouse.

The reason he chose those places was because, at dagobah, he could move the metal to build muscle and try making inventions with it, or he could give some to his mum's friend's daughter, Mei Hatsume, as he had heard that she likes making inventions.

The next destination was because he could use his quirk to clean the place up and then practice swimming in water to enhance his muscle and speed, he could've done this in his pool in his house, but chose to do it in an abandoned one instead because then he has tracks to follow and the public can use it after he's done with it.

Lastly, the warehouse was so he could brawl with random people he created and also because he could use weights and have a whole gym to himself.

With that he began cleaning in preparation for the tiresome weeks ahead of him after he had completed that he sat at the side of the pool, legs dipped knee high in the lukewarm water, and made a training regimen:

Train on dagobah for 3 hours and a half then go to the pool and swim for 4 hours with one 5-minute break in-between, using no quirks. Then he would go to the warehouse for 3 hours 2 hours of that would be quirkless and one hour using all of his powers at once to gain control, then he would brawl with the biggest opponent he could wish for, and after that, he would go home, shower, make a protein-based meal ( eat it of course) and go to sleep.

That was his life for 10 months... and as some would say...he started a boy but came out a man...

In the meantime  (in the 10 months) inko reported izuku to the police as missing and was worried sick for her little boy, unfortunately, the police decided they would look for only 24 hours as he was quirkless and would've died. (or so they say, but I for one, think they're just discriminatory.) she spiralled by not being able to find her green bean, and after 8 months of not finding him, she had no hope, 'he is quirkless, he wouldn't be able to survive alone that long'   her mind kept telling her, and eventually, she began to believe it, she'd lost the one thing she lived for, the one thing she wanted to keep, to hold and cherish, to see become an amazing hero who saves everyone, but alas, he was probably dead, so she thought 'why not join him', stepping on the chair with the rope around her neck, she let one thought escape her lips before she kicked the chair "I love you izuku" a stray tear rolled down her pained face, as sounds of suffocation filled the room.

at that moment izuku felt a pang in his heart, but, he just shrugged it off as the exercise making his heart ache...' stupid exercise'  he muttered. little did he know what he had just made his mother do.

anywho back to this part..."That was his life for 10 months... and as some would say...he started a boy and came out a man..."

standing at the UA gates he sighed in happiness at how he had made it to this point, to him that sigh felt like a pat don't the back from his...mother...speaking of his mother, he hadn't seen her in 10 months, he should probably go see her, just to tell her he's not dead and all...haha...and so, he made a vow to himself, if he passed this entrance exam, he would go see her...he knew it would be awkward but he wanted her to know that he still loves her but he had to leave for her own good, he wanted to be independent and give her a rest, so why does he feel so guilty about it...he'll ask for some advice from her...yeah...ANYWAY BACK TO THE ENTRANCE EXAM-

He walked through the entrance, noticing some girl with brown bobbed hair tripping up and a frog-like girl picking her up with her quirk while apologising.

Sitting in the near empty auditorium for the 3-hour test bored Izuku, He began to ponder what was on it, he knew he would know the subjects that it contained though, as, after all, he was on par with nezu'z IQ, yet it still took some thought.  Students bustled and filtered into the room, once they were all seated, Nezu started by mentioning the time they have, then gave a strong lecture to scare the examinees, " you shouldn't rush to try and get a good score, the best things come to those who try extremely hard, if you don't think you can live up to that quote then you may leave, this world needs heroes who never give up, heroes who do it to save lives, not for the money nor the fame, again, if you feel you cannot live up to that, leave, this school is not a place for you, it's a gruelling journey, one that makes the best heroes and banishes the unfit, if you choose to stay and take this test, then please know that this school is not rainbows and unicorns, this school is not smiles and happiness, nor is it fun, this is a place to learn to be the best you that you could possibly be, if you are prepared for that, then you may take this test".

With that in mind, izuku began the test, acing the questions and in under 10 minutes, he had finished, he was nervous, "what if they think I cheated or something because I reckon I've got at least 97/100." he whispered to himself while looking over the test paper... 'im just gonna leave, besides, I've re-read it 5 times...and so he did, standing up and leaving, nezu ran up to him, "Young boy with the green hair! why are you leaving so early? you have two hours and 50 minutes left!" to which izuku answered with "sir I've finished, also may I just add that I'm a massive fan of yours, you're amazing". Izuku accidentally let his fanboy side seep into his words a little.
"Oh that's so sweet of you, thank you, sorry but, may I speak with you outside please" nezu inquired. Izuku nodded, they stepped out into the hall and izuku asked why they had to talk. nezu replied, "I want to make sure you actually finished the test, so I'm going to mark it right now, in front of you, if you scored more than 96 I want you as my personal student, and I want you to do a higher grade test and we'll see how we go from there, you will still be able to attend class for hero studies if you pass that exam, you will just do English, math, history and such with me and hero studies in the hero course, ok?" izuku was shocked but he nodded excitedly once he'd processed it.

Izuku became nervous when nezu was marking the test, hoping he didn't do too bad, as he wanted to be nezus student extremely badly now that the option was open.

"...what are you...?.... th-these answers contain such detail and analysis, are you truly a human?...you are definitely in the hero course with answers like this, and most certainly my student, these answers are more powerful than what I could ever do, well done, may I ask what is your name? "

Izuku nearly fainted at that news, he was smarter than nezu, a being he had looked up to ever since he was a child, he was ecstatic, this was the best day of his life.

"to answer your questions, I'm honestly not sure if I'm even human anymore myself, and my name is izuku but I would be honoured if you would call me izuku, also, would you like to come around to my house sometime after the exams to have tea?"

"That would be delightful izuku, now, I best be going, I've got to make sure no one is misbehaving in the test hall, goodbye and have a wonderful day"

"You too nezu, you too..." izuku walked to the teacher's lounge to greet them as he was bored and had 3 hours to waste so-

At the part when izuku said "to answer your questions, I'm honestly not sure if I'm even human anymore myself," I really wanted nezu to say " ahaha join the club" but I didn't know how to fit it in, anyway, finally finished this chapter, writing the next one immediately, love y'all ♥️
