My eyes shot open as I felt some one grip my arm I sit up to see my sister
~Hey get up and get ready for school your Gunna be late ~she signs for me 
~Do I have to go to this school tho I'm gunna be an outcast~ I sign back
~Yes and I'll be your interpreter like always ~ she signs 
~fine~ I got up got ready and ran downstairs just in time so I wasn't late
-time skip-
Hawkins high school I don't know wether to try and be popular or just expect to be an outcast forever I feel a tap on my shoulder
~it's going to be fine I'll the here the whole time ~ sis signed
We walk into the school and people look at us really weird cuz jasmine my sister it signing to me ~ give me your schedule let's go to your first class do you want to talk I can interpret what they say~ she signs
~no I don't want to talk I can sign to you if that's ok~ I respond
We go to my first class everyone looking at my sister and I in a wired way I told them I was deaf and could not hear but cold speaking some times I chose not to tho and that I kind of knew how to read lips as well I could already see the people whispering and after that we did it again and again until it was lunch  jasmine and I sat at an empty table when I hear a loud noise that caught my attention I started to read the lips of the person talking
" but if your in science or band" I start to smile " or parties.... OR A GAME WHERE YOU TOSS BALLS INTO LAUNDRY BASKETS " I laugh not realizing how loud I was till the boy on the table looked at me I gave him a smile " you want something freak" a boy at the balls in laundry baskets table but the boy on the table just responded with devil horns and a tongue sticking out I laughed again the ball boy started to walk towards me saying " what are you looking at bitch your new you don't know the rules " I read his lips I sign to my sister ~first of all I'm not new to the town just to the school and second I don't give a fuck what the rules are~ then my sister says what I signed to the ball boy
" wow your a real freak you know that throwing up gang or cult signs just so you won't talk to me" the boy said
~ it's called sign language dipshit and in deaf~ my sister said what I signed
" if you can't hear how do you know what I'm saying "
~ I can read lips asshole leave me alone~ my sister repeated it  he continues to stand there just staring at me
" Jason you heard what she said leave them alone" the boy with long hair said
" look a freak helping a freak how sweet but we don't except freaks here especially ones in a cult" Jason said 
Jasmine signed what he said to me as he was facing the long haired boy
Lunch was over and I could not wait for the end of the day
- time skip-
Finally the end of the school day I went to look at the clubs they had because my dad wants me to be more social. I see a paper with a 20 sided die it says join the hellfire club.  I decided to go meet them they might be really nice.
~ let's go to this one ~ I pointed to the hellfire club paper.
~isn't that a dnd club ~ jasmine signs
~ yes and it looks interesting ~ we walk to where the club is going into the room I saw five people one at the head of the table like a king or something.
"Who and what are you doing here" the longhaired boy from lunch said
~ my name is y/n and I wanted to join the hellfire club ~ my sister translated for me
" why aren't you talking " he pointed at me
~ I'm deaf so I can't hear anything but really loud noises and yes I can speak but I chose not to sometimes ~ my sister told him what I said
" then how do you know why I'm saying "
~"I can read your lips"~
I say as I sign
" ok if you just wanna sit in on this game and learn how to play as we go that's fine I'm Eddie by the way "
~ yea that would be amazing ~
-after the campaign is done-
" have a great night guys you did amazing " Eddie said  Eddie came running up to me and tapped my shoulder I turned around and faced him " hey question" I nodded my head
" do you maybe want to come over to my house I can teach you more about dnd and maybe you can teach me some sign language you sister can come too if you want her to translate"
~ yes I would love too jasmine what do you think ~
Jass turntable to Eddie and says "yes she wants too but I can't I can give you a pen and paper to communicate tho y/n "
" ok then come with me we have to pick someone else up tho" Eddie said
I went with Eddie nervously we went to a picnic bench in the woods
~" is this the part where you kill me"~ I sign and say
" Do I seem like the person to kill someone" he said
~" what about Jason"~
" I would kill humans his little posse but anyone other than them no couldn't do it "
Just the a blonde girl with a cheer uniform came up to us " hey Chrissy ready to go " Eddie said
" yea but I thought it would only be us" she said
" this is y/n she's cool you'll like her" he said. I started to look around
" y/n" Chrissy said. I didn't hear her so I didn't respond " y/n" she taped my shoulder I turn around to look at her
" are you ok I know this is a weird question but did you see a grandfather clock over there " she pointed to where I was looking
~" no why do you ask"~
" you weren't responding to me earlier "
~" oh that's because I'm deaf I can't hear so if you need me tap my shoulder or walk in front of me"~
"How—"
" she can read your lips " Eddie adds" well we should get going "
