Roxy's P.O.V.
My breathing came out in ragged pants that echoed in the dark corridors along with the continuous thuds of my footsteps. I was sprinting down an endless maze of walls covered with creepy crayoned drawings all grinning cruelly at me.
I didn't dare to look behind me; if I did I thought that I would see that horrible skeletal hand reaching out towards my face... my breathing got quicker as I thought about it. What it had done to Jeremy. What it might do to the kids. Tears suddenly started streaming down my face as I thought of that look on Aimee's face. What if something happened to them?
I shook my head, trying hard to rid myself of the horrible questions filling my brain until it felt like it hurt, and continued to run. I didn't even know if the thing was behind me. It just felt like something was close by... no, just a few steps away... and reaching out towards me, preparing to drag me into the same horrible fate that Jeremy had been sentenced to.
Kenny's P.O.V.
We were still running, Teddy's broken leg trailing uselessly behind him as he tried to run for himself with me and Sammy on either side of him.
Felicia held the torch unsteadily in front of us, a glowing, dancing ball that leapt from wall to wall and turned every corner before we did.
We didn't know where Aimee and Roxy had gone, we just knew that we had all gone in completely different directions... we were all lost.
But, I had to be brave. Daddy says that the time when we have to brave the most is when we're actually really scared. I didn't know if me and Teddy would ever see Daddy again. Or Mummy... I missed them so much but I had to be brave.
No-one else was being as brave as me. Felicia was trembling so much she nearly dropped the torch every time she took a step. Teddy was breathing really fast and I know he only does that when he's really scared. And Sammy was crying quietly as he ran, giving small hiccups every now and then. I was being brave though, and I knew that Daddy, Mummy and Roxy would be proud when they found out how brave I am. If I ever saw them again.
We had started running as soon as we heard Aimee scream. We all knew she shouldn't have gone and we told her so but she didn't listen. Aimee doesn't like listening.
"S-stop," Teddy suddenly choked, almost falling over, "I-I can't. Can we stop? Please?"
I saw a door not too far away and pointed at it.
"Come on," I said quietly, surprised at how breathless I sounded, "we'll get in there! Hurry up, something might see us if we don't!"
Felicia aimed the light of the torch at the bright door I was pointing at and we all ran towards it, threw it open and piled in, Teddy literally falling over his own feet and onto the floor, clutching his broken leg and holding in cries of pain. My heart pounded hard in my chest as I bent down next to him.
"T-Teddy?" I asked, embarrassed at how shaky my voice sounded, "are you-"
That was when I heard it. A quick, high-pitched giggling coming from somewhere in the dark.
"Roxy!" Sammy called, relieved, "Roxy! Where are you? Come quick!"
But I had a bad feeling. Roxy really wasn't in the mood for laughing, not even when I kicked her by accident, and especially not like that. Roxy hated anyone who laughed like that. I remember Aimee would laugh like that just to annoy her.
"Sammy," said Felicia slowly, as if reading my mind, "don't call out to it." The giggling suddenly sounded again, sounding slightly closer this time.
