Roxy's P.O.V.
I had been listening to Fall Out Boy... for so long... I mean, loved them to peices but it was kind of hard to feel so much affection for them after ages of Patrick Stump screaming in your ears while being constantly interrupted by the squeals of delight from the five kids playing in Kids' Cove.
Suddenly, I felt a shadow over me. I looked up and almost screamed. Standing there, looming over me in a menacing semi-circle, was the bunny, the chicken and the bear.
"Hi there!" the bear's head tilted dramatically to the side as the bottom of its electronic jaw jerked up and down freakily, "I'm Toy Freddy! We can be best friends!"
"And I'm Toy Bonnie! I love playing the guitar! Do you like playing the guitar?" the bunny recited its lines to me while I stared at it, one eyebrow raised. I eventually sighed and looked over at the chicken. I knew it was my turn for that horror to be heard.
"I'm Toy Chica! Give me a C! Give me a H! Give me an I! Oh, wait, I already have two!" it did this all in the typical dumb-girl voice, and then added the horrific high-pitched giggle I was so used to hearing from school.
"Ch-Chica! Bonnie! Let- let me talk t-to my... new... fri-i-i-i..." the bear suddenly drooped forwards towards me, its glazed eyes still staring at me. For some reason, I couldn't breathe as those eyes stayed focused on me. Suddenly, I leapt backwards as a hand came down on top of its head, smacking it hard. Freddy straightened up immidiately and turned to Bonnie and Chica.
"Come on, guys! Let's go reherse!" said Freddy.
"But I want to eat pizza!" Chica squealed, adding the annoying giggle at the end.
"Haha Chica! You crack me up!" said Bonnie.
I finally let out the breath that I had been holding back and looked up at the guy. He was glaring at me. I looked at his name-tag. Jeremy Fitzgerald. Weird name, if you ask me.
"What're you staring at, kid?" he snapped. He looked a bit older than me, with a spotty face and narrowed eyes. Well, maybe that was because he was annoyed, "well?"
"Jeez, calm down, Jeremy!" I snapped, getting immidiately sick of his crappy attitude. He seemed to get even more annoyed when I used his proper name.
"Don't call me that!" he said through clenched teeth.
"Well, that's your name, isn't it? What the hell am I meant to call you otherwise?" I scowled back at him. Then, I heard the clip-clop of high-heels. Jeremy rolled his eyes and walked away, just as my Mum appeared behind him, grinning at me with her pearly-white teeth.
"Hey, babes!" she said, kissing the air next to either of my cheeks. She straightened up and looked at me, "he was pretty cute, wasn't he? Apart from, you know, the spots and all-"
"Mum, what do you want?" I sighed, crossing my arms. I knew she wanted me to do something for her.
"Well," she said, slipping her hand behind her silky blonde hair to scratch the back of her neck, "you see, that meeting did pop up... right now..." she grinned at me again, "you'll need to look after the kids for me!"
I sighed again, but knew I couldn't just refuse, "fine."
"I knew you would do that for me, gorgeous!" she said, flinging her arms around my neck for a second before straightening up and dusting off her skirt, "how about I treat you tomorrow? Huh? Girls' day out!" the her smile faltered, "oh, wait, I have an early-morning meeting... oh well, we'll do it some other time! Well, I need to go but I'll see you... uh... tomorrow night! That's it! Alright, gotta go! Love you, sweetie!"
With that she scarpered, her heels clacking rapidly against the tiles of the front enterance. I sighed and went go and find the kids to tell them.
Even the hallways of this place freaked me out. They were covered in posters of those... things. All staring at me as the real things had. Those eyes... so cold.
I quickly came across Kids' Cove and heard the children giggling and... a snap. A snap? The hell? I quickly burst into the room to see what the noise was. For the second time today, I nearly screamed. Becuase, lying there, surrounded by the laughing kids, was the head of a metal fox, pale, staring and missing an eye.
