Chapter Seven
Reconciliation

Tilly woke up to someone laying next to her in her bed. She turned over to see Taylor staring at the ceiling.

"I'm leaving soon," Taylor whispered as she turned to look at Tilly.

The girl nodded, "I can help you pack?"

Taylor just shook her head, "already finished."

Tilly just hummed as the two stared at each other for a moment. Taylor noticed all the freckles on Tilly's face that you can't see from far away. She also noticed a speck of green in her honey eyes, Tilly was absolutely beautiful.

"Just so you know," Taylor smiled lightly and traced Tilly's freckles. "I don't regret last night and would very much like to do it again."

Tilly scrunched up her nose and smiled, "I would like that too."Taylor smiled widely and kissed her forehead. "We can't tell anyone though, nobody in my family knows I'm a lesbian." Taylor laced their hands together with a look of understanding. "M-my dad, if he knew," Tilly closed her eyes tightly before opening them again. "They know Jeremiah is bi but this is different."

Taylor rested her head against Tilly's, "I understand. My family doesn't know I'm pan."Tilly smiled at her confession, glad she wasn't alone. "They probably don't know what that is, b-but I'm just not ready to tell them yet."

Tilly brushed her thumb across Taylor's cheekbone, "how did we end up in this situation?"

Taylor laughed lightly, "I have no idea, Smiley."

Tilly helped carry down Taylor's bags, Laurel and Belly already waiting in the car. Tilly set down Taylor's duffel bag and smiled sadly at her. The two girls sighed before embracing each other tightly.

The two broke away from the hug and Taylor laughed, "god, I don't even know why I feel like I'm gonna cry. It's been one day and I already want to spend every moment with you."

Tilly laughed in response, "call everyday. I need updates."

"Of course," Taylor smiled. "I will try and fix things with Belly. I can't have her hating you, Smiley." Tilly smiled at the nickname she once hated but now loved.

"I will miss you."

"Me too."

Tilly watched as Taylor walked out the door and to the car. She didn't understand why she felt like her heart was ripped from her chest. They're not even dating and even if they were it's only been a day.

She was being extremely dramatic.

Tilly sat at the kitchen counter, waiting for Belly to get home. She had to talk to the girl. What Belly said last night was completely uncalled for and Tilly was freaking out.

The front door opened and Belly and Laurel walked into the kitchen, "hey Laurel. Can you give Belly and I a moment?"

Laurel raised her eyes at the girls before nodding, "I'll be upstairs."

Once Laurel walked away, Tilly nervously turned to Belly and immediately started fidgeting with her rings.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you last night," Belly looked up at Tilly in confusion. "I hate yelling and I didn't mean to but I got upset," she finally looked Belly in the eye. "That's all I'm apologizing for, I did nothing wrong."

Belly sighed and rubbed her face, "you're right." Tilly looked up in shock, Belly was always right, this was a first. "I shouldn't have said those things and I promise I'm okay with you and Taylor." Tilly relaxed slightly. "I just was confused and I didn't want her to hurt you a-and I'm sorry." Belly looked down to the ground in regret.

"Okay," Tilly whispered and started walking away before quickly stopping. "You can't tell anyone."

Belly nodded her head rapidly, with wide eyes, "I won't. Promise." Tilly smiled before walking to her room.

The two girls relationship would never be the same after this summer. Everything was starting to change.

TW mental breakdown

Tilly sat in the bathroom. In the shower. With her clothes on. It was calming, she could feel the bad washing away.

It was July 3rd, one day before her father comes into town. He always came on the 4th and she was always excited.

This year was different, she didn't want to see his face or hear his voice. She wanted him out of her life for good.

She knew what he did to her mother. It was terrible and left a terrible taste in her mouth.

She didn't want to see him for personal reasons either.

So, she sat in the bathroom. In the shower. With her clothes on. The water running.

She felt tears stream down her face but it could also just be from the shower head, she blamed it on that.

She curled into herself after she laid on the tile. She felt at peace, no one could hurt her.

She jolted out of her trance when she heard banging on the door, "Tilly I need to pee!" Conrad yelled out, annoyed, like usual.

Tilly turned off the water and walked to the door before opening it. Conrad stood in front of her with a confused face, "why are you wet?" He asked as he picked up a piece of her hair.

"No reason," she shrugged before walking to her room.

Conrad stared at her in confusion before walking into the bathroom, "she's gone crazy."

Woah hey, crazy seeing you here.

I got bored at one am last night and wrote this horrible chapter (last part based on true events) but guess what?

Chicken butt!

Jk, I'm going on vacation but I'm gonna try and get out the Fourth of July chapter out in a couple days!
