"Oh come on!" Steve exclaimed as they loaded up an RV they "rented" in reality they knew whoever they rented it from will probably never get it back.

Dustin had brought Nancy, Jonathan, and Robin to join them on their adventure. "Okay, first of all you just assume that we wouldn't come with you after you attempted to murder me!" Robin said.

Eddie sighed his heart beating a bit faster, he was afraid that he would turn on his friends and do something he would later regret. He was already starting to feel a little guilt from killing Gareth, he already missed the guy.

"Hey, don't worry, Eds," Steve said placing a hand on Eddie's shoulder. "You'll be fine, we'll just make sure that your well fed and you won't turn on anyone okay?" Eddie nodded slowly.

"Alright, everyone load up!" Steve said crawling in the driver's seat. Eddie crawled in the passenger side and interlaced his hand with Steve. Steve smiled at him as they set down the road.

"Okay, we have to lay low until we get into Pennsylvania, according to Wayne people are still after Eddie and their suspensions are high after they found Gareth dead in his garage!" Steve said. "But this time, Eddie really did kill that person," Nancy said. "How about a little empathy, Nancy!" Steve said. "He couldn't control himself that's the entire reason we're setting out on this adventure anyway! To find a place where Eddie won't hurt anyone!" "Are you staying with him?" Jonathan asked. Eddie looked at Steve through expecting eyes as if he too wondered the same thing. "I don't know!" He said. "You might turn to," Jonathan said. "Let's hope not because you might be the first person I kill!" Steve said. "I'm feeling a little hungry now!" "Steve!" Eddie scolded. "Sorry," Steve apologized leaning over and pecking Eddie's head.

"Okay, Steve, Eddie, it says here that you guys basically have rabies, some vampires learn to control their urges by going to a mostly vampire run state. But usually after three weeks if you guys go untreated once you're hungry enough you'll attack another human either killing them or turning them," Dustin explained.

"Three weeks, I think that gives me plenty of time," Steve said. "So what? I have to wear a muzzle?" Eddie asked. "It might be best," Dustin said. Steve shot him a glare through the mirror. "Hey, we don't want Eddie going savage on someone!" Dustin said in defence. "We'll keep him fed!" Steve replied. "I'M NOT AN ANIMAL! STOP TREATING ME LIKE ONE!" Eddie screamed. "I'll continue drinking the blood of animals so I won't turn on anyone else!" Everyone muttered an agreement to Eddie and he turned to face the window salty tears stinging his eyes. "Hey, don't worry!" Steve said placing his hand in Eddie's thigh. "In about two weeks we'll be in Pennsylvania and everyone will be safe!" "Something tells me a life with vampires won't be the same as a life in Hawkins!" Eddie sighed. "I'm scared, Steve, I don't like change." "I don't like change either, Eds, but it's what's best," Steve said. Eddie nodded but that didn't stop him from crying.

He didn't like the thought of Steve dropping him off, learning how to not attack people and then going back to Hawkins without Eddie by his side. he wanted to stay with Steve forever but Eddie knew he wasn't going to get that.
