Eren locked the door behind him, then began the short walk to the bus stop. The small distance proved to be difficult though, the sidewalks were slippery and the snow that fell wasn't helping either. Eren cursed under his breath while he slowly made his way over large patches of ice, careful not to fall and injure himself. Once was by far enough for the boy, he wasn't particularly fond about doing it again.
After finally making it up the hill, Eren reached the bus stop, and was somewhat relieved to find it empty. It's not that Eren didn't like people, he just wasn't good around them.
He checked his pockets for his ticket, and held it in his hand as he waited for the bus to arrive. Eren had always liked public transit, he was unsure why, but still took the bus everyday nonetheless.
He saw the bus through the snow, and removed his hood as he waited for it to stop. The doors opened and Eren got on, offering a small smile at the bus driver as he put his ticket in the machine, then made his way to the back of the bus, which was empty as well. He took a seat, and watched out the fogged up window as he neared his destination.
He pressed the button that was on the pole beside him and stood up, adjusting his coat before he went back into the cold. The bus slowed, and Eren made his way to the front of the bus and pulled his hood up once again as he stepped off the bus.
He shivered at the sudden change of temperature, he was no longer warm, it was cold enough to see your own breath. Eren sighed and shoved his hands into his pockets, then looked around for the street sign. It was just a bit away from where he currently stood, so Eren started to climb the small hill that thankfully had no ice whatsoever.
He reached Levi's street quickly, he moved surprisingly fast when there wasn't a sheet of ice on the ground. He looked down the road and gasped quietly, the houses were absolutely massive. He looked around before continuing, the sight was absolutely marvelous him, he wasn't used to beautiful things.
He started down the street, scanning each of the mailboxes, trying to find Levi's house.
'935, 937, 939,' Eren read the numbers in his head, and he stopped when he reached 947. His jaw fell, the house was the biggest on the street. It was a contemporary styled home, the wood was light and the main entrance was massive, almost the same size as the front of his school. It was very open as well- the windows seemed unreasonably large and revealing, but they were covered with curtains so the boy couldn't see inside.
Eren took a breath and began to walk to the door, and he reached his hand out to the doorbell, but he hesitated as he held his finger out to the doorbell. He dropped his hand, lowered in his hood, and looked at his reflection in the doorway. He ran his fingers through his hair, trying to fix what his hood had done, but it wasn't showing much success. Sighing, Eren gave up and pressed the doorbell.
He winced when he heard the stupid chime echo through the house, and his breathing sped up when he heard footsteps approaching the door from the inside of the house.
"Can I help you?" A woman opened the door, and Eren felt his face flush.
