The pair made their way into Starbucks, both shivering at the change in temperature. Eren unbuttoned his coat, and the two stood in line together.

"What do you want?" Levi asked, pulling a wallet out of his pocket.

"I can pay for myself." Eren said, reaching a hand into his jacket and pulled out a ten dollar bill.

"I'll buy, I asked you to come out with me. It's only fair." Levi said, and Eren sighed, shoving the money back into his pocket. "Good boy," Levi cooed, making Eren blush.

"Shut up." Eren mumbled, turning his head away from Levi and looking at the board that displayed the prices.

"Hi, what can I get you?" The barista asked, smiling brightly.

"Can I have a caramel macchiato?" Eren asked, and the girl nodded.

"What size?"

"Venti." Eren smirked, trying to piss Levi off with the price, but he got no reaction from the shorter boy.

"For sure, can I get your name?" She asked, sharpie poised over the side of the cup.

"Eren," He told her, and she blushed.

"And you?" She was looking at Levi now, who stared at her blankly.

"Black coffee." He said, and she asked what size he wanted. "Tall," He responded, and she nodded.

"Name?"

"Levi." He grumbled, then she put the cup down.

"Will that be all?" She smiled at Eren, who nodded his head. "That comes to seven dollars and fourteen cents." Levi held up a credit card to her, and she pressed a button on the cash register. "Whenever you're ready, sir."

Levi swiped the card, then they moved down the line and waited for their drinks.

"Wanna go find us a table?" Levi nudged Eren's arm with his elbow. Eren looked around and nodded, and Levi waited patiently for the drinks.

"Levi, Eren." The barista called, and Levi grabbed the cups and went off in search of his newfound companion.

He spotted Eren, who was typing something on his phone. Levi sat down across from him, sliding his drink across the table. He took a sip of his own and watched as Eren turned his phone off and placed it face down on the table.

"Thank you." Eren said and took a drink, and Levi nodded. "So," Eren swallowed, and looked at Levi.

"So," Levi repeated, holding his cup in both hands, grateful for the heat that it provided.

"Levi." Eren said, and Levi blinked.

"Eren." He mocked, making Eren sigh.

"You're like a parrot, stop." Levi chuckled, and Eren rolled his eyes, taking another long drink of his macchiato.

"Well," Levi started, taking another sip of his coffee. "I've been meaning to ask, are you missing a contact or something?"

It was Eren's turn to laugh, and he did. His hand went up to his eye, the left one, and he smiled at Levi. "Nope, these are my eyes."

"Bullshit." Levi said, and Eren shrugged.

"I can wear my contacts next time, if you want." He responded, and Levi stared at him with his jaw hanging slack.

"You aren't bullshitting me?" He asked, and Eren shook his head.

"Not bullshitting." Levi raised both eyebrows, unable to look away from Eren. His left eye was a deep green, emerald almost, and his right was such a odd brown colour that it almost looked gold. Eren blushed, then covered his eyes with his hands.

"Stop looking, it's embarrassing!" He exclaimed, and Levi laughed.

"It's cool though." Levi replied smoothly, still not looking away from Eren, even though he couldn't see the boys face.

"I usually wear contacts," Eren sighed, dropping his hands and staring into his cup. "Green ones."

"Oh?" Levi cocked his head to the side.

"Yeah, people used to give me shit about it. Because it's a deformity, y'know."

"At least you don't have a giant lump hanging off the side of your face." Levi said, and Eren snorted.

"I guess you're right. It's not half bad; it's gotten me a few girls." Eren grinned, and Levi bit his lip.

"Have you had many girlfriends?" He took a drink of his coffee.

"Not one." Eren said quietly, and his cheeks gained the adorable pink hue once again.

"Boyfriends?" Levi asked as nonchalantly as he could, fiddling with the lid on his cup as he did so.

Eren's face had gone from pink to red, all the way down to his neck.

"I..." Eren took a breath. "Yeah, kinda. It wasn't serious though. We kissed a few times, but I've kissed girls too!" He stuttered, and Levi let out a breathy laugh, his eyes flicking down to look at the table.

"What about you?" Eren asked, trying to get the conversation away from him.

"I've kissed girls, I've kissed boys." Levi said, and Eren nodded.

"Dated any of them?"

"Quite a few, actually. I found out pretty quick that I didn't like girls." Eren took a gulp of his macchiato, licking the whipped cream off of his lips.

"Oh?"

Levi shrugged, his eyes trying to focus on anything else on Eren's face other than where his tongue just touched his mouth. "Not a big deal, is it?"

Eren shook his head, a smile smile playing at his lips. "Not at all."

They sat in silence once again, till Eren downed the rest of drink and stood.

"Let's go somewhere."

"Any place you have in mind?" Levi got up as well, grabbing his and Eren's empty cups.

"Yeah, actually there's somewhere I wanna go."
