Pokémon Life: Rewritten

Chapter 2: Campsite

The Eevee awoke to their back completely covered in bandages.
They looked around, and carefully got up.
"Where am I now?" They said, walking outside the tent they were in.
There was a teenager with a green hat telling a yellow mouse with red cheeks commands.
"Thunderbolt!" The teen says, and the mouse shoots a bolt of thunder at a dark blue frog.

The frogs jumps out of the way as another teenager with a purple hat shouts at the frog:
"Croagunk, use Poison jab!"
The frog leaps at the mouse and hits it in the side.
The Eevee sits down and enjoys the battle.
"Pikachu, use Slam!" The green capped teen says.

They keep fighting for a couple minutes and stop when the mouse faints.
"Dang, you're Croagunk is powerful." The green capped teenager says.
"Your Pikachu is pretty good too!" The purple hatted teen says.
As they were saying that, they put a weird looking ball up to their Pokémon.
The Pokémon get surrounded by a red energy field and they dissapear.

The Eevee is unsettled by this and gets up.
But the green capped teen notices them and walks over to them.
"Hey! Glad you're okay." The teen says.
"Thanks?" The Eevee says, backing up a little.
The teen reaches into their pocket and the Eevee starts shaking in fear.

"It's okay, we're not trying to hurt you." The teen says, pulling out a berry of some sort and putting it in front of the Eevee.
The Eevee stares at it for a second and pushes it away with its muzzle.
"I'm not hungry." They say.
"Cmon it will help your injuries." The teen says, pushing the berry back a little.
The Eevee just lays down in response as the trainer sighs.

"Okay, I get it." They say pulling out the weird ball again.
The Eevee quickly gets up, preparing to run.
"Hey, it's okay, I'm just bringing out a friend." The trainer says them presses the button on the middle of the ball.
The same energy comes out of the ball and the mouse appears.
The ball closes as the mouse looks at the scared Eevee.

"Hi?" The Pikachu says while waving.
The Eevee is surprised. 'Weren't they hurt earlier?' The Eevee thinks.
The Pikachu looks down, noticing the berry and eats it.
"Pikachu! That was for the Eevee!" The teen says.
"Sorry." The Pikachu says.

"So, are you okay? You looked practically dead when we found you." The Pikachu asks.
"Y-Yeah." The Eevee says.
"Ok, that's good," The Pikachu says, "Where are you from?"
"Hm?" The Eevee replies.
"Like, what route or forest did you come from." The Pikachu clarifies.

The Eevee pauses. 'I don't know? Should I tell them I don't know or just lie?' The Eevee thinks.
"Uhh, I don't remember. It's b-been awhile since I've thought about that." The Eevee says.
"Oh," The Pikachu says, "I'm from route 103."
"Cool." The Eevee replies.
The keep talking until one of the teenagers interrupts them.

"Okay, it's time to train some more!" The purple hat teen says.
The Pikachu gets up and the Eevee follows them.
"Okay, Pikachu come with me and Eevee you go with Tyler." The green capped teen says.
The Eevee walks over to the purple capped teenager and waits.
"Ok? Go!" The green hat teen says.

"Pikachu, use Slam!" The green hat teen says.
The Pikachu runs at the Eevee as they slam into their side.
The Eevee skids across the ground as Tyler says:
"Eevee, use Quick attack!"
The Eevee doesn't know what they meant but still runs at the Pikachu.

The Pikachu takes the hit.
"Pikachu, use Thunder!" The green hat teen says.
The Pikachu quickly charges up electricity and sends a giant lightning bolt at the Eevee.
"Step back Eevee!" Tyler yells, making Eevee turn around and run.
The lightning hits the ground with a thundering clap which makes the Eevee trip up.

"Now while they're down, use Slam!" The green hat teen says.
The Pikachu leaps into the air and sends itself hurtling at the Eevee.
"Eevee move!" Tyler says but the Eevee can only get up before getting hit.
The Eevee screams in pain as their back makes a startling 'crack' sound.
Everyone quickly runs over to check on the Eevee.

The Eevee tries to get up but can't move their back legs.
"Oh no." The Pikachu says as the teenagers start to panic.
The Eevee accepts death as the world slowly goes dark.
