Lancelot POV (Yuno):

After my death at the hand of the demons, I found myself reborn in another world. The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes were my two ecstatic parents. Both of them were very young and good looking, and they also wore expensive clothes.

My mother had navy blue borderline black hair and dark blue eyes. She just gave off this motherly feel as she embraced me and kissed my forehead. My father was more rough looking but he had sparkling black hair and grey eyes.

He also kissed my forehead after my mother handed me to him and announced my name, "Your name will be Lancelot Orbel."

'Cool name. But wait, Orbel? Am I a noble in this life?'

I was happy with getting parents in my second life even though I do not regret my life as an orphan, but being a noble had some serious perks that would have really helped me in my past life.

(A/N: I really don't want to cover the same thing I wrote for Gary in this chapter, so I skipped most of it.)

2 years later:

(A/N: Hello, lazy author here. I doubt you guys would want to go through another awakening so I'll just skip that for you.)

Lancelot (Yuno) POV:

"Young master, please wake up for breakfast," my personal maid Angelica said as she opened my curtains. I rubbed my eyes open and got out of bed.

After having a bath, I was escorted to the dining room. My parents were already seated and their expressions brightened when they saw me. Both of them treated me with maturity after seeing signs of intelligence, which made things much easier.

We were having some friendly familial chat while eating the mouth watering food. 'I have never eaten such delicious food in my life,' I thought as I did everyday while I swallowed down my food, elegantly of course.

After we were done eating, my father looked at me and said, "Lancelot, you awakened your mana core just yesterday. I have decided that you will train directly under me if you were to be an augmenter and would train under your mother if you were a conjurer."

The most important thing I learned was that magic in this world was completely different from my previous world. It was much more generalised and an easier way of gauging one's ability was also present.

"Thank you, father and mother," I said as I slightly bowed at them with courtesy. Acting like a child was still hard for me, luckily my parents were understanding and let me behave in whatever manner I wished.

I was then escorted outside alongside my parents. My father gave me an orb like device. He said, "This device will measure your elemental affinities."

I saw a person with thin spectacles and a notebook by his side as he looked at the orb. I took the orb from my father and injected my mana into it, causing two different colours to appear. The first colour that covered about 60% of the orb was green, while 40% of the orb was covered with purple colour.

"Elemental affinities with wind and gravity. However, no affinity with earth," he spoke with a frown on his face. My parents were also surprised about the fact that I had no affinity with earth element since gravity is its deviancy.

"Well, it is a very rare case but it's not like it never happened before. Sometimes, the base element is completely suppressed to the point that the mage can never even use it but still use the deviant element perfectly fine." The scholar said to us while his brows were scrunched in focus.
