Gary POV:
I, alongside with Lancelot, went to my upper-division class, Team-Fightning Mechanics I.
The classroom, or should say field, to be more accurate, was on the other side of the academy, where all of the upper division classes were held.
The "room" consisted of a huge grass field with several obstacles placed randomly, encased by high walls with runes engraved in them. On top of one of the walls was a separate little room protected by a glass encasing. I assumed that the room was used as a viewing platform for the rest of the students.
I saw some students had arrived before me, talking to each other, and I immediately noticed some familiar figures.
I quickly walked over to Alistair and Arthur with Lancelot behind me and greeted them, "It's good to meet you again!"
Both of them turned towards us and greeted us back. I saw that most of all Paladin members and many members of DC and SC also came.
"Kathyln," I said as I hugged her. She hugged me back and patted my back to release her soon after.
'I still can't believe these emotions I am experiencing,' I thought as I looked at her lovingly. I heard Lancelot greet the other DC and SC members as well as the other Paladins.
Claire and Curtis were the only ones exclusively from DC while Clive from SC was also here. Everyone save for Elijah from the paladins was here as well.
"Good! Everyone's here!" a loud voice suddenly booms over the field. As all of the students started turning their heads to locate where the voice had come from, I looked straight up to see a massive hawk-like mana beast hovering over the field.
This beast was at least 4 meters long and its wingspan was well over 8 meters. With its sharp talons tucked underneath it, the beast slowly made its descent, revealing a well-toned woman with a giant sword strapped to her back, standing up on the back of the hawk.
"Welcome! My name is Professor Glory, and I will be the one teaching all of you brats! This Flare Hawk is Torch, my precious bond."
The first thing I did was measure the stage our professor's mana core was at. 'Solid yellow,' I thought, 'not too bad.'
I saw that most of the paladin members daring enough to measure her stage were successful, except for Arthur.
"I have to say, you guys have set the bar pretty high for all of the other classes," she announced while trying to inspect me, only to wince in pain.
She took quite a bit longer to inspect the disciplinary committee and the student council members, nodding every once in awhile while wincing in pain after failing to inspect light yellow stage mages.
"We will start off this semester by playing a little game! Aren't I so nice?" By the look on her face, she was the most excited about this. Continuing on, she said, "So! What kind of game should we play... a mock team battle? War?"
"How about capture the flag," I commented after raising my hand. She looked at me and nodded eagerly.
"For the teams, we should have all the DC and SC members play as the other students are too low level," Lancelot added.
'I noticed this before but he's very blunt with his words.'
None of the other students dared to complain, after all, they had all seen his strength during the Xyrus Academy Tournament.
"For the teams, hmm, I think Lancelot, Kathyln, Alistair and I will suffice," I said.
The Professor thought about it before nodding her head in agreement. It seemed that everyone thought the teams were fair.
