Your Not Alone Anymore

Chapter 2

Y/n had just sat down in her seat when a girl tapped her shoulder. She turned around and met a girl with green eyes and brown hair looking at her. She was fiddling with her brown hair nervously. "Hi, is there anything I can....help you with?" Y/n asked the girl. The girl looked up and said in a quiet voice "Y-yes..." Y/n didn't catch that so she asked the girl to repeat herself. "I said y-yes. I-I don't have a-a pencil so I was w-wondering if I c-could borrow o-one from you....if it's not too much t-trouble..."the girl says again. Y/n smiled. "Of course you may, I have a lot" she turned around and grabbed a pencil. She whirled back around and handed it to her. "T-Thank y-you" the girl says. "No problem, what's your name?" Y/n asked. It would only be fair to know the name of the stranger she gave her pencil to. 

"It's Suzumi, S-Suzumi Hikawara" the girl stammered. "Nice to meet you Suzumi, I'm Y/N L/N" Y/n said to the girl who smiled a bit. "Nice to m-meet you Y/n" she says with a little more confidence. "Likewise" Y/n smiled back just as the teacher entered and started the lesson. 30 minutes into the class the teacher turned back from the board. "This will be your last assignment for the semester and I will be placing you in groups" he announced, earning groans from the students. Ignoring the complaining, he continued. 

"This will be worth 50% of your final mark for the term and it is due in 2 weeks." The class went silent.  "Class is dismissed early for today so you can find your group members and plan everything" the teacher says. "Goodbye and I wish you luck" he says walking out the class. As soon as he leaves, the students walked up to the paper on the board, some happy to be in the same group as their friends, some sad because they were robbed of that and some who just didn't care. 

Y/n and Suzumi walked up to the paper after most of the students had went back to their seats. "Oh it appears that we are in the same group Suzumi" Y/n says while looking at the paper. "Y-Yeah I-I'm grateful that it's someone I k-know" the shy girl stammered. "Hm it also seems that Adayashi Itsuko, Yanashino Daissai, Aikaki Keidao and Levi Ashitada are also in our group." Y/n says in thought. But she was broken out of it when a voice spoke up from behind her and Suzumi. "Here we are" the voice said. Y/n and Suzumi spun around to find 4 other students standing there. 3 boys, 1 girl. "Nice to meet you all, I'm Y/n and this is Suzumi" Y/n motions to the girl who was now hiding behind her. "Nice to meet you too" the girl spoke. 'You must be Adayashi" Y/n says looking at the girl. She had gorgeous purple eyes, brown hair and fashionable black frames. "Yes I am" she responds.

"Which one of you are Yanashino?" Y/n asked, turning to the three boys infront of her. "I'm Yanashino" a boy with pale brown hair and eyes said. "I'm Aikaki" the boy with dull green eyes and brown hair says. "So that must mean you are Levi" the girl says turning to the boy with black hair and red eyes. "Yes, Levi Ashitada, nice to meet you" he says bowing. Before anyone could say anything the bell rang. "We need to know when we can start, how about we all exchange numbers" Adayashi suggests. "Yes, that's a good idea" Y/n chimed in. They quickly exchange numbers and said goodbye before heading to their different classes. Sadly Suzumi didn't have English with Y/n but Yanashino did so they agreed to walk together. The silence was deafening so Y/n tried to start a conversation. "So are you friends with Aikaki, Levi and Adayashi?" the girl questioned, her e/c eyes shining.

"Well yes. We were all childhood friends. We grew up together" he says. "Ooo can you tell me more about them and you pleaseeeeeee" Y/n practically begged. "Woah, easy and yeah, I'll tell you-" "Yay!" Y/n jumped up and hugged him. The boy was shocked, a blush was slowly creeping onto his face.  Y/n realizing what she was doing quickly pulled back. "Hahaha...sorry I never should've done that, I hope it didn't make you uncomfortable" she apologized sheepishly. "It's fine" Yanashino murmured, "Oh look we're here" he says stopping in front of the door to the English room. "Did I tell you we had a test today?" Y/n looked at the boy. "W-wait we did!?" he started freaking out. "Yeah....-" the girl says. "I didn't study I'm doomed!" he wailed. Y/n blinked, not sure how to respond. She pushed the door open and walked in with Yanashino behind her.

"Ok the teacher isn't here yet so I may be able to help you a bit before he arrives, sound good?" Y/n says, taking her seat and pulling out her English book. "You would?! Thank you Y/n!" Yanashino frantically says as he himself hugged her. She was now the one to freeze, as she slowly hugged him back. "Yeah you can show me your gratitude later, let's see how much you can learn in like 5 minutes." Y/n laughed while Yanashino's face fell. "5 MINUTES?!" he practically whisper shouted. "Come on" Y/n urged as she began helping him.
