The past week was was torture was hell for Edeline, having to spend all that time with self obsessed Prince Ivan. All he ever did was talk about himself and never asked a thing about her. For example, on day one all he did was talk about the other kingdoms he has conquered and how all of it was his idea, then on day two he talked about how he'd seen all of the flowers before etc. This had been happening all through the week even during the ball when they would dance together all he would do was talk of himself.

It was now day five and all week Edeline had been trying to figure out what her father had planned that was such a big secret. All she knew was that she had to dress in a ball gown for the occasion.
"So no one knows what my father has planned?" Edeline asked, frustrated that she couldn't get an answer from anyone, "I'm sorry your highness but no, no one has been informed of these plans. If I was to guess, I would say Mason knows what's happening." Ruby answered adding on, "You look truly beautiful Edeline." The princess was wearing an emerald green gown with silver flowers on the dress that had a corset with the same design as the actual dress.

"Are you ready princess?" Mason called from outside her door with the response to his question being the door flying open with an unhappy Edeline standing in front of him, "Whatever." She said walking towards the throne room. The walk was silent, with only the sounds of shoes on the floor as they walked into the unknown.

The doors to the throne room open as they approach, and when Edeline looks up the room is filled with people from different parts of the kingdom. The made the princess more on edge than before, all she kept thinking is
What is my father up to?
She made her way next to her father as he got the peoples attention,
"I gather you all here today for an exciting announcement. I am happy to announce that my daughter Princess Edeline will be marrying Prince Ivan of Merania in two weeks time!" As these words leave the kings mouth the crowd erupts in cheers and Edeline is speechless, how could her father do this to her? Well he didn't care for her as he let everyone think, he only cared for the gain of his kingdom and controlling his daughter was apart of controlling the kingdom.

Edeline having not saying anything ran out of the room, eyes following her every move. Tears formed in her eyes from what she had just heard but not from sadness, no, they formed from pure anger and hatred towards her father. She had to get out. She had to leave for a little while, clear her head but it had to be somewhere she wouldn't be found. So she ran to her room, grabbed a cloak and left for the village. It was an easy get away as all the soldiers where either stationed in the throne room or in another kingdom her father was trying to take for his own. So she could leave through the main entrance of the castle.

Edeline didn't realize where she was walking or how long she had been walking, she just did so. She was in a trance with the words her father spoke earlier. She didn't understand why he wouldn't let her have a say in her own life, why it was so important for her father to control every aspect of her life and sadly she would never understand.

Edeline was broken out of her trance by children laughing, and when she looked up she was the cleanest street she had ever seen, and she was standing on an uneven cobblestone path. The princess was in the south side of the village. She looked around and saw the worn down houses, and the children playing in tattered clothing because they couldn't afford anything other than what they had. When she last looked up she was in the north side of the village, the only part of the village she had seen before. How could they all be so different? How could they all be so divided? How could her father let this happen? She needed to change this, something inside her was telling her she needed to get out, to leave for good and fight for things to be different.

In her mind she had decided that she had to put a stop to all of this, fight for what was right and not for greed. She had to help those who clearly couldn't fight for themselves. In her mind, she had decided, enough is enough.
