Location: Der Riese

Delilah's POV

We made it to our first stop. Evan says this facility is called Der Riese. From my knowledge, it's German for The Giant. I've been watching Evan closely, for any signs of the infection kicking in. The general said that if for some reason that any of my soldiers were infected, look for the symptoms. So, far Evan hasn't showed any. Also, Samantha hasn't attacked since that little visit a couple of hours ago. What is she planning? We decided to explore the facility for any guns or maybe something that can help us. In the courtyard, we saw a wooden box with a big glowing yellow question mark. "It's a Mystery Box!", Evan said, smilimg big. "What does it do?", I asked, looking confused. "It gives you a random gun. However, you better be lucky, or you might get a teddy bear instead.", Evan said, flinching at the pain of his neck. He can only talk quietly because, according to him, "it hurts to talk now ever since he got bitten." I simply nodded as I went over to the wooden box. I kicked it open and immediatedly, random guns started changing out of thin air. It went on like this, until it stopped on a gun, I have never seen before. I took it and looked at. What the fuck was it?! "It's a Ray Gun!", Evan said, quietly, a little excitement in his voice. Just then, a lone zombie slowly limped towards us, I raised my Ray Gun and I shot the zombie in the head. However, instead of a bullet, a green orb came out. It was way better than bullets! "Woah! That. Was. AWESOME!", I yelled in excitement. Evan looked at me oddly. I rolled my eyes at him. "Sorry if we Americans aren't proper and boring like you Nazi Germans!", I growled. Evan glared at me about the insult. "First off, I wasn't thinking that and second, not all germans are apart of the Nazis!", Evan hissed at me. "Yeah, whatever. Like I said before, says the one who had a Nazi flag above his bed.", I hissed back. Evan was about to say something, but he didn't. Good! He just shook his head and went to the Mystery Box. He kicked it open and the same process happened. The cycle finally stopped and it landed on another weird-looking gun. Evan's expression went from annoyed to happy at the sight of the weapon. He took it eagerly and smiled big. He noticed my confused look, so he explained the weapon. "It's a Wunderwaffe DG-2! It can electrify a whole group of the undead with one zap.", he explained, excitingly. I simply nodded. Which was better? The Ray Gun or the Wunderwaffe DG-2? Which weapon would keep you alive longer!?

Evan's POV

We decided to rest outside the courtyard. Delilah leaned against the wall, while I took a seat on a wooden box. I groaned in pain at my bite on my neck. Its been going on like this for hours, but this time, it was worse. I noticed Delilah tense up, her hand holding the Ray Gun, even tighter. Will she really kill me? Probably, but I needed to stay alive for just a little longer. I felt so sleepy, so I decided to give in and fall into a deep sleep.

Evan's Dream

I was in my old house. I lived here before I was brought to Kino Der Toten to live there. However, it didn't feel lively; it felt rather....strange. I looked around the room and I realized that I was in my old bedroom. I opened my bedroom door to exit. When I got out, the long hallway was dark. Not to mention the sound of raindrops and thundering outside. I walked the long hallway, towards the stairs. When I made to the stairs, I heard noises coming from the old basement. I knew the noise right away. My father's old laboratory. I slowly made my way downstairs, towarda the basement door. My whole surroundings were pitch black, except for the dim light that shone from the bottom of the basement door. I carefully opened the door and I slowly pushed it open. I closed the door softly, while I looked around the lab. My father was at a table, writing down notes on his clipboard, while his test subject was on the table. I gasped at the sight. The test subject.....was a newborn. Who was it though? "Test subject 1, my son, Evan Nicolas Richtofen.", my father said out loud, while he continued writing. What!? "My son is very special. My wife died from giving birth to him about 3 months ago. Only it wasn't just child birth that killed her. I inserted Element 115 in her, while she was pregnant with Evan. The first human beings to be tested with the element, have survived!".", he continued. I stood there, in complete shock, at the secret that was hidden from me. Did my father look at me and my mother as his family or did he think of us as guinea pigs?! My thoughts were interrupted as the sound of a baby crying filled the air. That baby was me! I watched as my father injected a needle into baby Evan's veins. I had enough of this nightmare. I told myself to wake up, until I felt my heavy eyelids open and I jumped up. Delilah looked at me worried. "It was a bad dream.", I quietly muttered. I didn't need her to be dragged into my problems.
