Where They Went Ch.12

~The next morning~

Evan's POV

As we drove back to Delilah's home, I held her hand while I drived. But it was kind of hard too, for I didn't want to ruin her engagement ring. I sighed happily, remembering Delilah's reaction when I proposed to her.

Evan's Flashback

~The same morning~

As I waited for my angel to wake up, I held the small red box in one hand, examining it. Inside, laid the most beautiful ring in all of Germany. I bought it right before I got on the plane to go to the U.S. It cost a fortune, but Delilah's reaction would be worth it. Suddenly, I heard her sit up. "Hey Evan, what's that?", she asked, leaning over my shoulder to look. I smiled at her and I looked directly at her. I touched the side of her face, before leaning in to kiss her. When I pulled away, I got on one knee. Delilah was confused at first, but then she figured out what I was doing and she started to tear up. "Delilah. Three years, I had lost my memories of ever knowing you, due to amnesia. Now, ever since they have returned, I want to create more memories with you in it. I want you to be in my life. I want you to be by my side.", I paused and took a deep breath, as I opened up the box, revealing the precious ring. "I want you to be my wife.", I said. "So, General Delilah May Dempsey, will you marry me?", I said, my smile getting bigger. Delilah's tears soon began to fall as the sudden news overwhelmed her. "Yes.", she sobbed. She got off the bed and she embraced me with a tight hug. She cried in my shoulder, as she held on tight to me. I felt so happy, as I kissed her head. We finally broke off the hug, as I grabbed the ring from the box. I then took Delilah's left hand and I slipped the ring on her wedding finger. She admired the ring and slightly gasped. "How much was it!?", she said, panic in her voice. I smiled at her reaction. "Let's just say it was a fortune, but you're worth more than the ring.", I smiled.

~End flashback~

Natalia's POV

"Delilah, did Evan propose to you?", I asked, as I pointed at the shiny ring. Delilah turned around from her seat and smiled at me. "He sure did. I see Takeda did the same too.", Delilah smirked, as she pointed at my engagement ring. I sighed happily, as I placed my head on Takeda's shoulder. He was still asleep, so he didn't hear me and Delilah's conversation. "Yes he did.", I smirked back.

Natalia's flashback

~The same morning~

"Natalia?", I heard Takeda whisper to me, as he gently shook me. I groaned and threw a pillow at him. Not too hard though. "Five more minutes, Takeda.", I groaned, as I buried my face on another pillow. "I just want to ask you something very important, my cherry blossom.", he said, sounding sad. I immediatedly sat up, feeling bad that I threw a pillow at him when all he wanted was to ask a question. "What is it?", I asked, feeling guilty. Takeda took out a small black box, as he looked at me with his lovely light brown eyes. "Natalia. I have done things in order to bring honor to my family. However, ever since, I met you, the only one I want to impress is you.", he gently said, as he kissed my lips. As we kissed, he looked at me with love and excitement in his eyes, before he pulled away. He then opened the black box, revealing a beautiful ring. "That is why, I want you to be mine, Natalia.", Takeda smiled, as he got down on one knee. "Natalia Veronica Belinski, will you do me the great honor, of becoming my wife?", Takeda smiled even more, as he watched me. I couldn't believe this. Maybe I'm in a sweet dream right now, dreaming about this amazing moment. "Is this a dream?", I asked, dumbly. Takeda grinned at my question. "It's a dream come true.", Takeda smirked. I giggled at his comment, but I then looked at him seriously. "Yes.", I simply said. After that, everything became a blur of happiness and joy.
