~10 months later~

Delilah's POV

The beach near my home seems to be my favorite place to go. In the Marines, we didn't have time to gaze out at the beauty of nature, since we went out to make sure the U.S was safe from any attacks that any country might do. Sometimes, though, I took a few peeks of nature, before I inform my army of our next mission. Now, after WWII ended, it seems nothing bad has happened really, so a lot of us can finally relax after years of bloody war against the Axis powers. Me; I can now gaze at the beauty of the ocean as much as I want to. But today, I wasn't here to look at it. Today, I would soon meet Evan, after three years of amnesia, which caused both of us to forget each other. It took us ten months to find each other. We haven't told our fathers yet, so me and Evan have to meet in secrecy. As I walked along the beach, in my uniform, I looked at the waters. It was a cloudy day and a small breeze that smelled like sea water, hit my face. I heard footsteps coming from behind me, but I didn't want to turn around. How would he look after 3 years? Would he be his old self or someone that I couldn't recognize to be my Evan? The footsteps stopped and time seemed to freeze, as we stood where we were. Complete silence, except for the waves that crashed against the jagged rocks.

Evan's POV

I would have thought Delilah would turn around and embrace me, telling me that she missed me too. Right now, she hasn't even turned around. Does she know that I have missed her so much, ever since I got my memory back? Does she know that every single day without her was like torture, like how my father did with his victims? Now, she's right in front of me, after three years and ten months, yet I can't see her beautiful face. I started walking until I was right beside her, also staring at the ocean. I grabbed her hand and we simply stood there in complete silence, hand-in-hand. "You made it.", Delilah mumbled out loud. "Yes. Yes I did.", I simply replied back. At the same time, we turned to face each other. She was still the beautiful angel, that I fell in love with. She wore a gray, body-armored suit, black combat boots, dog tags, a black cap that had U.S.M.C  in white bold letters, and black fingerless gloves. Her blonde hair was longer than I remembered and it was no longer a ponytail, instead it was in a braid. She was still beautiful after three years and 10 months have passed by. In complete awe of her beauty, I reluctantly leaned forward and kissed her. She didn't fight, but she immediatedly kissed back, with more passion. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped my arms around her waist. She jumped and I caught her, so now her legs were wrapped around my waist. After a while we pulled apart, our foreheads touched, as we took deep breaths. God. I've missed her so much. "I'm glad you haven't changed....Doctor Evan Nicolas Richtofen.", Delilah smirked, as I put her down. "I should say the same about you, General Delilah May Dempsey.", I smirked back. She smiled and took my hand. "Come on. We need to catch up. I know a small coffe shop here, so we can talk.", Delilah said. "Alright, my angel.", I said, before kissing her hand. "Okay, Romeo. Let's talk first, then we'll talk about that next.", Delilah smiled. I smiled back and I followed her, as we made our way to the streets to the coffee shop. Yep. Three years and 10 months were worth it, now that I have my angel back.
