3rd Person POV
the afternoon was normal. Wilbur and Quackity were packing up their stand and getting ready to get home. but out of the corner of Quackitys eye, he saw Sapnap coming in their direction."oh hey, Sapnap." Quackity greeted his ex casually. Wilbur rolled his eyes and tried to ignore Sapnap.
"Hey Quackity. I got some good news, they are stopping the search for the runaway in town! no more night shifts for me!" Sapnap informed them happily.
"wait, the search is over?" Wilbur interrupted them.
"uh, yeah. as of today. they want more guards searching elsewhere so..."
Wilbur nodded. he was finally off the hook. He looked up and around the town center and saw the bar from across the street.
"Hey, why don't we celebrate?" Wilbur suggested.
"why?" Sapnap was confused as to why Wilbur Soot would be celebrating this.
"well, uh... you said no more night shifts! of course! we should celebrate!"
"I don't know Wilbur, what would we even do?" Quackity asked.
"the bar! we could have some drinks there."
Quackity thought about it for a while, and he realized it meant some fun with Wi-Sapnap. he could have fun with Sapnap.
"Let's go then!" Sapnap agreed and was already headed to the bar.
"what a fucking idiot." Quackity laughed quietly and followed after his ex.
Wilbur quickly followed after them into the bar, not ready to get ditched.
inside the bar was many tables and candles that set the mood. it was such a comforting place for such silly activities. by the corner was a band playing some random music in the background.
the three sat at the bar and asked for a glass, not really caring what of. the barkeep handed them each a shot of whiskey.
Quackity, who was sitting in the middle, downed it right then and there. he didn't even flinch at the gross taste.. Wilbur and Sapnap gave him a small applause for taking the drink so easily.
Sapnap went next and did what Quackity did, except for scrunching his face.
"oh, I hate the taste so much." he complained, earning Wilbur and Quackity laughing at him.
Sapnap and Quackity both looked to Wilbur to do his shot. Wilbur took a deep breath and chugged it, only to spit it out.
"this is vile!" Wilbur coughed as Sapnap and Quackity laughed their asses off.
"c-can I have some wine instead?" Wilbur asked the bartender in a raspy voice.
as the trio drank more, more people filled the bar and the music got louder. laughter filled the room along with more drunk people.
Sapnap was the first to get up, taking another swig, he started feeling himself and waving his arms. he seemed like he was in the zone. It made Quackity laughed and dance in his seat too.
and poor drunk Wilbur, wasn't having it.
"Hey, Quackity. leeetssss .... I dunno, dance? yeh?" Wilbur held his hand out.
with a bunch of giggles, Quackity nodded yes and took Wilburs hand.
the taller twirled him around as other people joined the floor dancing. Sapnap was shouting, excited and drunk. Quackity began laughing and giggling as the crowd started to group together.
eventually, the close dancing wasn't as fun and everyone silently agreed to move the chairs and tables to make a proper dance floor.
Wilbur was helping push when he saw Quackity and Sapnap out of the corner of his eye.
Sapnap held Quackity close with a soft smile on his face. Wilbur could see his lips moving but couldn't hear with the loud music. but he could definitely see what was going on.
he watched as Sapnap and Quackity slowly began leaning in. Wilburs heart was pounding in his chest. His body moved without him as he softly stomped right up to the drunk couple.
"Hey guys! let's dance!" Wilbur said through a smile of gritted teeth.
"fuck yah! I fuckin... wow yah let's daaance! WOOOO!!" Sapnap yelled and made his way to the dance floor.
Quackity sighed and leaned on a table against the wall. he watched as Sapnap joined the party and do group dances.
"Whats umm... a-are you alright?" Wilbur awkwardly asked.
"yah I'm good." Quackity lied.
"come on. tell me."
"no."
"yes!!"
"nope."
"YES!!"
"okay fine... its Sapnap," Quackity gave in. "it's just... he.. I love him, but things have been weird. I don't have that.. that rush when I'm with him anymore. do you know what I mean?"
"what kind of rush?"
"like... the room doesn't light up anymore! his touch, it doesn't spark... I'm not overjoyed when I see him now. yes, I love his company and seeing him, but now it isn't the same."
"oh wow..." Wilbur could face feel warm as he thought about the feeling Quackity spoke about.
"I know... I've known him for so long now and it's not fair to him.." Quackity continued.
as much as Wilbur didn't want to admit it, what Quackity was saying was making him excited. (not like that pervs) he knew exactly what Quackity was talking about.
because Wilbur felt that about Quackity.
"I think that is... alright." said Wilbur.
"but... I'm his boyfriend! how can I not be able to give him the love he gives me? that's not fair!"
"it isn't... so give it to..." Wilbur trailed off as he looked into Quackitys deep brown eyes. "someone else. someone who does make you feel that way."
Quackity started laughing.
"like who else could I make feel that way?" Quackity looked at Wilbur.
Wilbur was only staring at Quackity as a response. his face was red and his hair was messy from the partying. but to Quackity, he seemed so... pretty.
Quackity started staring back. it wasn't like a staring contest. but that didn't matter. they were interrupted anyways by the devil himself pulling them to the dance floor.
As Sapnap grabbed Quackitys hand to bring him to dance, Quackity glimpses back at Wilbur as he gets pulled off to dance with someone else.
a small smile creeped up onto Quackitys face as he looked over he shoulder.
in Quackitys head, he was happy that rush was back.
