When you are moving into a new school and the band director requires that you audition for them.
So I'm moving from the 8th grade to high school and this past Monday I had to go in and audition for one of the 3 bands they have. The teacher that I have now told all of us that we are good enough to get into the middle band and told us how horrible the lower band is.
So every eight grader in my class showed up to the audition scared out of there minds and shaking. One of my friends even thought that I was going to have a panic attack because I was sitting in my chair telling people to shut up while my head was in my hands (not sure why she thought that).
Then the high school director is trying to make us feel better by telling lame jokes that make me cringe. And in the end you mess up like, twice, and then leave thinking you could've done better.
But when I left my audition my sister shared some "wise" words with me
"As long as you did your best and didn't pass out, you did a good job"
