Chapter 7
Oh god.
My heart was beating so fast I thought it would jump right out of my chest.
And the person I was looking at... I didn't know her at all.
"Oh, sorry. I thought you were someone else." The stranger shrugged at me and quickly fled the extremely awkward but for me relieving scene.
Gosh, I was so lucky.
That was so close.
It felt like a stone had just fallen off of my chest, there were no words to describe how alleviated I felt.
Alleviated, and extremely happy, that I could continue my journey to finding my real mother.
There was almost nothing that would even help me here, at Central Station. I kept looking though, and then, on my left I saw it on the board. The Megabuses leave at 7th Avenue and 28th St.
I used my still valid ticket and already hopped onto the bus that would bring me there.
I can't believe this is happening!
On the bus to the way there I thought about where I would go first. Megabuses usually travelled far, it couldn't have been such a bad idea to go there.
Finally, after quite some boring time in the bus, I arrived at the Megabus station. I looked for destinations that would bring me closer to L.A. There weren't any.
