Chapter 2

"Hello my dear! Are you feeling better?" The nurse almost half sung.

"Yeah, thank you!" I had spent the night at the hospital, and they had decided that the small injuries on the face weren't severe. Basically they had me written down as a few scratches and a concussion, which meant 24 hours of observation.

In 2 hours I can finally leave the hospital.

"Well that's just splendid,"

Who still uses splendid?

"I knew you'd get better fast, you're still young, you know. While we're on the subject of getting better, I just wanted to tell you that the gauze around your head is because they did a few stitches on your head to close the gash from when you fell. And I don't know if you know, but that means that we're going to continue to examine you until this evening. But I'm sure by then they'll let you go since you're doing quite well."

Ugh, that'll be 6+ hours.

"By the way, you are very pretty my dear!" She smiled widely.

"Oh," I blushed even though I knew she was probably lying since half of my face was swollen and blue, due to my side fall that had caused the concussion.

Still, I said "Thanks." and smiled even though it still hurt, but I wanted to show my appreciation since she had been so nice.

"I'll be back in just a minute." She left the clipboard with my chart on the foot of my hospital bed. Out of curiosity I took the clipboard and scanned for any extra information about myself.

I didn't know that they took my blood test.

I looked to the inner side of my left arm, and sure enough there was a band-aid! When had they taken my blood test?

At least now I knew my blood group! 0- , that meant I could give blood to basically anyone, but only recieve from the same blood group, we had learned that in school a few weeks ago in Biology. Oh my was I happy that we had holidays right now!

Wait, I should take a picture of this chart, like that if I ever forget my blood group I'll have it saved onto my phone. Wait, is my phone even here?

I turned my head left and right, scanning for a sign of my phone. It had to be there because mom had brought it this morning when she came to have breakfast with me. Well, I was in the hospital bed, but she had brought me a croissant and a hot chocolate from starbucks, and then we ate it togethor at the hospital.

Ah, there it is.

My phone was on the chair beside the hospital bed. It was probably still there from when we had breakfast. I quickly took a photo, and put it back to where the nurse had left it.

The kind nurse came back into the room with the doctor that had been treating me.

Lucky, if she would have entered a few seconds earlier...

"Hi Indigo. How are you feeling?" Doctor Martin looked down to his clipboard, as if he was talking to the chart rather than to me.

"Fine, I guess."

Why would you answer fine, that's stupid! You're in hospital for god's sake!

"Well, we will phone your parents and tell them that you will be ready to go home at five thirty."
