The Black Phone Chapter Seven

Classes continued normally until break time, I was walking with Robin through the
schoolyard when suddenly two guys a grade older than us approached, I could recognize
one, it was the boyfriend of the girl who was talking to her friend about Robin this
morning.

-Hey! Are you Robin Arellano?

-Yes, who's asking?

-Perfect, you're the one I'm looking for.

Robin and I looked at each other confused.

-How can I help you?

-"You're the one who's been flirting with my girlfriend lately." Said the guy with a furious
expression. Several students began to approach.

-What? Listen mate I think you got the wrong guy.

-Of course not, Robin Arellano the damned beaner who boasts of being the rudest boy in
the school, but that ends today.--Said the boy approaching Robin very threateningly.

Robin seemed to get angry, if there is something that bothers him the most, were the
insults with his Latin origin. At this point practically everyone was around us attentive to
what was happening, including this guy's girlfriend.

-What is your name "gordito"?.-- He asked to him with his arms crossed and looking up
since the guy was a little taller than him.

- Jackson.

-Okey Jackson, you can still take it back, apologize and LEAVE

The audience murmured but Jackson just smiled.

-See you at the exit .-- he said and then left with his friend.

-You heard him! --Robin shouted to everyone around us who scattered whispering things,
Robin took my arm and we kept walking.

-They're going to kick your ass!.-- A guy yelled at him--go back to your country, son of a
bitch!

-Shut the fuck up Jeremy! I yelled at him, they were all fucking cowards now that they
knew that Robin couldn't waste energy before a fight with an older guy they took the
opportunity to mess with him. -Its okay Finney, I'm going to shut their mouths.--He said determined something that I love about him but I wasn't so sure, Robin had won most of
his fights however he couldn't beat Vance Hopper once they confronted and this guy was
like Vance just a little fatter.

-Robbin, can I tell you something and you promise not to get mad?

-Sure, what's up Finn?

-I don't think you should show up for the fight. It's not that I don't think you'll lose but...

-Listen Finney, the only thing worse than losing the fight would be not showing up, it
would destroy my reputation, I know you're worried but don't, I've been called out by
worse guys. And the insults don't really matter to me anymore.

I looked at him worried but I didn't say anything more.

-Did you saw that! Robin Arellano and Jackson are going to fight for me!! --Said the guy's
girlfriend super excited to her friend.

-What jealousy .-- Said her friend.

I got more upset, surely this idiot had told everyone that Robin was hitting on her and now
she got him into trouble.

When class was over Gwen ran up to me.

-Finn, I finally found you let's go watch the fight!

-How do you know about the fight?

-Everyone is talking about it.

We left the school and I started to hear the screams of the people.

-FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

Gwen and I made our way into the crowd and there was Robin.

-You think you're so rude, don't you, headband? --Said Jackson.

-Why don't you come and find out? You can still regret to this.

-You would really like that don ́t you? WETBACK.

-Don't you have another insult? It's not my fault your girlfriend would rather be with me
than spend another second next to your greasy face.
-Uuuuhh.-- was heard from the crowd.

The guy got mad and threw the first punch but which Robin dodged to then take the guy's
head and stamp it with his knee, the guy was half stunned which gave Robin time to throw
him against the wall and throw him on the floor.

-Get him Robin! Gwen encouraged.

But the guy grabbed Robin by the ankle and made him fall to the floor, he climbed on top
of him and started banging Robin's head against the floor, you could see Robin's blood on
the floor, some started booing and others to celebrate while I started to panic and when I
thought that Robin had lost the fight, He took a stone and stamped it against the face of
the guy who fell to the ground next to him.

-Yes! Come on Robin you can do it! .--I celebrated by clapping.

The guy threw a punch at Robin's face which only seemed to infuriate him more. Robin
started hitting the guy and it even seems like he knocked out a tooth then he got up,
grabbed him by the hair and dragged him towards the wall where he started kicking him
in the stomach, in the face and in the crotch until the guy passed out.
-ROBÍN ROBÍN ROBÍN.--People shouted and Jackson's friends went to pick him up.

Robin seemed dizzy and about to fall over and it got worse when Jackson's girlfriend ran
up to him and hugged him around the waist.

-I knew you would win Robin. -- she told him and then gave him a kiss on the cheek which
was all covered in blood. Robin was about to fall over and the girl wouldn't let go of him so
I got closer.

-"Move bitch!." I told her annoyed, I pushed her and took Robin to the bathroom
along with Gwen who also looked worried. We couldn't take him to the nursery because
the nurse's shift ended when school was over.

Gwen and I sat Robin on a toilet and I took the band off his head, the blood kept pouring
from one side of his head and from his nose I didn't know what to do and started
panicking again .
-Gweny go get a teacher or something quickly! --I told her and Gwen ran out of the
bathroom.

I knelt down to face Robin and grabbed his cheeks to make him look at me.
-How are you feeling?

-I ́m fine my love.—He told me and then let his head fall on my shoulder.
