Claire's convoy continues driving through the desert. They're driving on the road with Claire's car leading them. Then, they all come to a motel. Carlos, Kevin, and L.J. are looking at the motel. They see no one around it.

Kevin: I don't see anyone. (Talks on Radio) Mikey, try to get someone on the radio in there.

Mikey on radio: Got it. (Talks on broadcast) This is Claire Redfield's convoy. Present location, the Desert Trail motel. Broadcasting for any survivors. Is there anybody in there? Broadcasting for any survivors. Is there anybody in there?

Claire on radio: Keep trying, Mikey.

Mikey on radio: Is there anyone alive in there? Please respond.

Carlos: Seems quiet.

L.J.: Yeah, don't they always?

Mikey on radio: Is there anyone alive in there? Please respond.

Kevin: Claire, I don't think there's anyone in there. Seems clear and abandoned. Shall we go in?

Claire on radio: It's your call, boys.

Kevin: (Looks at Carlos) What do you think, man?

Carlos: Come on. Let's go.

L.J.: Let's do it.

Kevin: Right.

They all climb down. They take Claire's car, and they go in towards the motel. The motel is nearly buried under the sand, and there's a lot of abandoned cars around the place. And there's empty gas pumps. They all get out of the car, and cock their weapons as they walk to the entrance. They keep their guns up as they walk inside. The front desk is empty, with a lot of stuff on it.

L.J.: I'm gonna get me a room. I'll take a waterbed, a Jacuzzi, and I'm gonna rent me a porno.

Kevin laughs at that. They continue looking around as the floor creak, along with the ceiling. Carlos looks at a sign on the wall that says, "Nevada, land of leisure." He looks at it, and continue on. Kevin goes with L.J. as they walk down a hallway. Carlos look in an empty room. Stuff is everywhere.

Kevin and L.J. continue going through the hallway to look around. L.J. turns on his flashlight, and looks around. Two holes are on the ceiling, and the sunlight is shining through them. They check the doors, and see that some of them are locked. L.J. tries another door, and it opens. They both get their guns ready as he slowly opens the door to reveal a room. They look around in as they shine their lights around. Then, suddenly, a zombie cop comes running at them from behind, growling. They both turn around, and yell as it pushes them into the room. Kevin hits his head on the wall as L.J pushes the zombie. Kevin shakes his head as he fights the dizziness. L.J. then gets the zombie cop's gun, and uses it to fire at its leg. He gets its leg, and it falls down. Then, he grabs it by its head, and snaps its neck. It falls down dead. L.J. then sits down on the bed, panting. Kevin coughs as he rubs his head. Then, he looks up, and sees a female zombie. He gasps, and grabs his gun, and fires at it. But it turns out to be a mirror. He turns around, and sees it.

Kevin: L.J., look out!

L.J. turns around and it screams as it charges at him. It jumps at him, and pins him down on the bed. Then, it bites on him. He screams as Kevin gets up, and grabs it. He throws it at the wall. He aims at it, and fires at it. It takes the hits, and falls down dead. Carlos comes running, and he sees the fight. They both turn around, and look at him.

Claire on radio: What happened? You guys okay?

Carlos: Yeah. It's all clear.

Kevin sighs as he looks down. He rubs his head again. Then, they hear the convoy coming in. Outside, Rain and Claire signal them to park. Then, Rebecca and Betty come inside to check on Kevin and L.J. They're both sitting down on seats.

Betty: Somebody need our help?

L.J.: Aw, it's nothing. But if you insist...

Betty: That's right. So sit back and relax.

Kevin chuckles at this. Rebecca shakes her head as she giggles. They check the bumps on their heads. Outside, Rain, Claire, and Cindy look at the people who are getting out.

Claire: Spread out. Look for anything of use. Gas, food, ammo. You know the drill.

Rain: And be careful. There's no telling what could be out here. Cindy, go get Trevor, David, and Karen.

Cindy: On it.

She walks to another vehicle to get her friends. Back inside, Betty looks at L.J.

Betty: You like playing rough, huh?

L.J.: Oh, I've had worse.

Betty: I'm sure.

Kevin: Don't we all?

Betty: But you've always been gentle with me, Betty.

Carlos: Oh, gosh. I'm leaving.

Kevin: Uh, Yeah. I'm out too. Rebecca, take me out of here, so you can check me out there. I think we need to leave these two alone.

Rebecca: Yep.

They both get up, and walk away. Betty watches them leave with Carlos. Rebecca sees Rain helping Claire. Kevin looks around, and then checks his arm. He sees that the zombie didn't bite him, but it scratched him. He groans in despair. He knows that even scratches can turn people into them. He wishes Naruto was here. He has the cure in his blood. He sees Betty leaving to help Chase. He peaks inside, and sees L.J lifting up his shirt. He sighs, knowing that he got bit. They're both screwed now. How are they gonna tell everyone about this? And what will they do about it? Kevin looks up in the sky, and prays to god to help him and L.J., for they are gonna need it. But little does the convoy know, they're gonna run into another convoy soon.
