Meanwhile, on the road in the Nevada Desert, an abandoned vehicle is seen on the side of the road. And in the middle of the road, is a zombie eating a man. It's most likely that the zombie got the man when his car ran out of gas, and when he attempted to refuel it, the zombie ambush him. The zombie grunts as it eats the body from his chest. It looks up, and another vehicle speeds towards it. It rams into it, sending it away from the body. As it rolls, In a gadda da vida plays from a loud speaker. The zombie looks up as it attempts to get back up. A tire with spikes heads towards it, and it rams its head, killing it. Its blood spills on the windows of a bus. Everyone on the bus watch, and exclaims. The driver sees this, and laughs.

Driver: That was a juicy one, huh?

Behind him, is a familiar face. It's Kevin Ryman. He smirks at this.

Kevin: Yeah, Otto. It was.

The bus is followed by an old News van, an ambulance, a transport truck, and a fuel truck. The music continues playing as they drive pass the vehicle. Leading the vehicles is a yellow SUV. In the SUV, are three women. One of the women is familiar. It's Rain. With her are two young women, and their names are Claire Redfield, and K-Mart. K-mart is putting make-up as Claire talks on the walkie talkie.

Claire: Hey, Carlos, this is Claire. You got any smokes?

In the transport truck, Carlos is sitting and driving the truck with another guy, who is sleeping.

Carlos: No.

Claire on walkie: Like I'm supposed to believe that.

Carlos: Claire, would I lie to you?

In the fuel truck, another familiar man is driving it with another man wearing a cowboy hat. It's L.J.

Claire on walkie: L.J.

L.J.: Claire Redfield, how can I help you?

Claire on walkie: Got any smokes?

L.J.: No can do.

Claire on walkie: How about alternate?

L.J.: Sorry to say we're out of that too.

In the ambulance, a brown-skin woman is driving the ambulance with another familiar woman. It's Cindy.

Woman: You gotta be kidding me. Otto?

Otto on walkie: Sorry, campers. Smoked the last of it back in Salt Lake.

Kevin on walkie: So did I.

Woman: Dang.

L.J. on walkie: Yeah, people. It really is the end of the world.

Claire: Dang it.

Claire tosses her empty cigarette pack out of the window, and it lands on the street. As it does, a zombie steps on it as it looks at the vehicles driving by it. It growls, and limps after them, but it's moving so slow. Meanwhile, back at the hideout, the Umbrella is a huge underground facility just below the Nevada Desert. A hundred or a thousand feet underground. In a meeting room, men in suits are talking. In the far end of the table, is a man with short blond hair, and is wearing sunglasses. This man is Chairman Albert Wesker. He looks at the men around him.

Wesker: Anyone else?

Paris Chairman: Paris facility. Food supplies down to 50%. Six casualties. Biohazard numbers increasing.

London Chairman: London facility. Food supplies down to 28%. Seventeen casualties. Biohazard numbers increasing.

Just then, the door opens, and Dr. Isaacs and another man walk in.

Isaacs: Gentlemen.

Wesker: Dr. Isaacs. How good of the science division to join us. Where's Dr. Birkin?

Isaacs: Chairman Wesker. I've been busy. And Dr. Birkin and his wife are busy at the moment.

London chairman: On the subject of the biohazard, what does the science division have to report?

Isaacs: Well, we now know conclusively that they have no real need for sustenance. They hunger for flesh, but do not require it. My research indicates they could remain active for decades.

London chairman: We're to be trapped underground for decades?

Wesker: (Raises his hand to stop him) What news of Project Alice, and her son?

Isaacs: Using antibodies from her blood, and the cure and antibodies from the boy's blood, I will develop a serum that will not just combat the effects of the T-virus, but potentially reverse it, giving back these creatures a measure of their intelligence, their memories, thus curbing their hunger for flesh.

Wesker: (Looks at him) You're confident you can domesticate them?

Isaacs: They're animals, essentially. We can train them, if we can take away their baser instincts. We can also create new animal weapons, such as...fox demons. From the boy's DNA. They'll never be human or like regular foxes, but would provide the basis for a docile workforce. We can return to the surface.

Paris chairman: After months of experiments, you have nothing to show. And we are left to rot underground.

Isaacs: Without the original Project Alice, and the boy, progress has been difficult. I've been forced to replicate them using cloned genetic models. It's laborious. The results, unpredictable. And also, the fox demon inside the boy's mind is not in the clones of the boy.

Wesker: Project Alice, her son and the subject of domestication is of the highest priority. You will concentrate on this to the exclusion of all other research with Dr. Birkin's help. We'll expect an updated report within a week.

Isaacs: Simply demanding results will not guarantee them.

Wesker: (Gives him a look) Then perhaps we should place someone else in charge. Someone who can give us the reassurances we require.

The man at the door smirk at this as he watches this.

Wesker: Continue with your research, Doctor, while it still is your research. This meeting is adjourned.

Wesker and the men suddenly disappear, showing that they're all holograms from other locations. Isaacs walks to the door. He walks past the man, who looks at him leave, and follows him.
