Chapter 2: new friends

Vex and Tsume made a distant amount of money for them to live off of as they were careful about their spending habits. As they reached level five their powers and skills also grew, they always had to make sure they were wearing those rights and gear and armor when they went into the battle. They continued to take down goblins as they didn't feel like they were strong enough to venture out any further as the goblins outside of the area they were at were much stronger. Vex was happy to have Tsume as a supporter as he was going to battle. Tsume always had his back when there were more than 10 goblins.

"Vex to your right!"

Tsume shouted as vex dodged out of the way of a goblin that tries to stab him, vex sword light up in a fire flame cutting it in half

"Let's go!"

Vex shouted as Tsume smiled and followed behind him. After an hour they headed back to Grimgar, vex knew enough about Tsume but saw she still hid things from him. He figured there were probably things that she didn't want to talk about that were too painful

"Tsume...can I ask you something? "

Vex asked as the two were handing out near a bridge

"What is it?"

"What's it like being a necromancer? I mean I saw you in battle fighting but it's got to be cool to cast all those magic"

"It's fine...I just want to be helpful"

She said as vex didn't know what she meant.

"Anyway, if you're hungry you can go eat I'm heading off to bed"

She said heading to the tavern that they were staying at he didn't understand why but she was never in the room that she claimed to be in because every morning that he went to get her she would be gone and when he would go looking for her she would say that she was in the room that he couldn't see her

He hated trying to be sneaky, to see what she was really doing but he didn't like to be lied to either, so that night when she wasn't paying attention he got into her room and found that she tapped on the wall creating a portal into another room and when she found out that he had followed her she was mad but understood why he did it

"If we're going to be teammates I'm going to need you to start telling me the truth and not lying to me."

Vex said as tsume sighed and apologized

"I do it because I'm scared"

"Scared of what?" he asked as she looked away before looking to him

"Them picking on me"

She whimpered, Tsume told vex about how she started out and was teased by other adventurers about her being a necromancer.

"I Stayed alone because everyone lied to me"

"Then what about me, I didn't lie"

Vex said as tsume giggled

"Yeah well, kuro told me otherwise"

"Kuro? What is that?"

Vex asked as tsume did another spell and had something black come out from a Portal that looked like a bunny

"This is kuro my familiar, he comes and helps me when I train but since I met you I normally keep him hidden," she told him as she hugged the black bunny that purr

"You have a familiar, holy crap that is amazing!"

He said shouting. By the next day as tsume and vex were eating breakfast at sherry's tavern a girl showed up wearing a priest outfit that was pink and white

"Hello, my name is Stephanie and I was wondering if I could join your team"

She asked as vex and Tsume looked at her

"Is there a reason?"

Tsume asked as Stephanie looked nervous until someone spoke

"You wouldn't want her on your team she's a bad priest, she wouldn't be able to heal you no matter what she does"

A guy said with a laugh the two looked at Stephanie Who was looking hurt by the comments, tsume stood up and welcomed Stephanie to the team, vex was welcoming as well, they went on a mission together for the first time, he didn't want to believe what the others were saying as Stephanie did freeze when it came to fighting and when vex got hurt she apologizes to him

"Your ok Stephanie, just heal him like this" tsume said and showed her, Stephanie was surprised that tsume could heal, and

a couple of days later vex noticed tsume was taking care of Stephanie, she wanted Stephanie to up to their level and had her learn new spells that could help them. Even at the tavern people still didn't find her worth it and thought vex was stupid to have her

But vex wanted to prove them wrong and he did as time went by, they were known from the power as another team was saved by them. Their name spread out in Grimgar and didn't like how famous they were

After a month they met 2 girls named faiya the mage and lita the thief, they were nice but vex thought they wanted to join them for stupid reasons that tsume was able to point out and didn't allow them to join but this time...she said nothing

"Tsume is this really a good idea?"

Vex asked chasing after her and Stephine before going into her portal

"It's ok...kuro checked them out and said there actually nice"

"What if they're not?"

He questioned but not even tsume understood

"Just give them some time ok"

She siad and disappeared with Stephanie in the portal, by the next day vex, Stephanie and the others were waiting for tsume as she went shopping for a new staff, tsume was making alot of money but she Split it with everyone

"Hey dud"

Faiya called as she had her arms cross

"What's your deal with tsume?"

"Huh, what do you mean?"

"I mean is she your girlfriend?"

Lita laughed when faiya asked that, vex blushed and couldn't believe she thought that

"To me, she doesn't look like your girlfriend, she's too hot to be your girlfriend...i mean, if you like her then she is way out of your league"

She said as vex said nothing

"It doesn't matter how long you've been with her she's a catch that can never be caught, so you might as well give up"

Vex summon up the courage to talk back as he didn't like the way how faiya was actually making fun of him

" she's not my girlfriend, she's my friend!" He shouted at her as she only scoffs

" well no duh she's your friend, I knew that you and Pinky over here were friends but for you to label Miss hottie Darkness over there as your girlfriend I don't think so"

before he could say anything tsume came out of the shop with a new staff with a purple orb

" Sorry for taking so long"

she said as faiya was the first to hug her, for some reason vex noticed that faiya was trying very hard to be around tsume a lot and didn't know what she was planning.

"Faiya, be nice to vex ok"

She said as this shocked faiya that she would know.

"Uh, sorry.."

Faiya said as tsume looked to vex with a smile
