Chapter 3: death knocking on our door

By the next day vex woke up and was greeted by Stephanie who was making breakfast

"Where is tsume?"

He asked not seeing her or faiya

"If you're looking for the other girls they went on a little more Expedition early this morning but they should be back anytime soon"

Stephanie said with a smile and soon enough the girls did come back holding a couch full of money.

"That was funny as hell!"

Faiya shouted as they put down five pouches on the table

tsume why did you go off on your own without telling me

You were still sleeping so I took faiya with me so we can get a little more money

She told him the others were happy to have the money but vex not so much. He didn't know why he was so hesitant into trusting the two new members of the team but he knew that he didn't like faiya. As they all ate breakfast together vex started to notice that's tsume wasn't acting like herself, he tried to ask her about it but she would always brush it off.

It was like he could tell that she was on edge about something and didn't know, and they went to kill more goblins the issue that almost got Stephanie killed was because faiya carelessly fired everywhere at once and did not even care if her attacks hit Stephanie which it did,

"Faiya stop attacking everywhere and keep your eyes on Stephanie!"

Vex shouted.

"Why do I always have to do the babysitting?! I want to get into the fire"

she shouted while running off, vex couldn't believe this and there was nothing he could do to get to where Stephanie was but before an attack could hit her a portal up sucking Stephanie in. Saving her from an arrow.

Vex smiled when seeing tsume and Stephanie together, as for Lita she was having a hard time keeping the Goblins back as they were trying to Ambush her.

"I need help over here!"

Lita shouted while dodging out of the way as a are almost hit her, tsume acted quickly as she chanted words though it sounded like she was with first thing in backward before three balls of fire shot the Goblins from the ceiling of the building and one that was in front of Lita

"Thanks, tsume you're amazing"

she said giving her the thumbs up, after an hour or so they rested in a building that was a great place for taking a break, we had lunch and we talk to each other including vec yelling at faiya

"Because of your recklessness, you could have cost Stephanie her life!"

"I didn't sign up to be her babysitter, I know that she's a healing priest but -"

"yes, that's right she's our healing priest meaning she does not know how to fight, as the mage of the group you need to learn how to protect the Healer which is the most important part!"

Vex shouted at faiya but she only scoffed not really caring.

"tsume say something!"

He told her but before anything could be said tsume collapsed to the ground as everyone stood in shock as they saw blood coming from her, Stephanie screamed thinking that she was attacked, vex jumped up to see if she was hurt anywhere but saw nothing and wondered what was going on, they quickly made their way to Grimgar right to her master to see if he could tell them what was going on

She just overworked herself, she shouldn't use too many of her spells all in one day, it puts a toll on a necromancer that hasn't really equipped themselves at the right level
