Chapter 8: the final diary

A year later when they got older vex finally admitted that he had feelings for tsume, after working so long with her, he was determined to tell her but never found the right time to do so

As they were taking a break from killing alot of war trolls, faiya was trying to get them alone but normally that would fail.

"Uh, tsume can we talk?"

I asked her as she was staring at the river probably lost in thought

"Sure what is it?"

She said looking at him, his heart started to race when looking at her. Her hair was longer and now hangover over her shoulder, she wears a dark purple necromancer outfit.

"I wanted to tell you that I uh..."

I stopped as he couldn't say the words. She waited for him to say something but he didn't until fireballs was launched their way making them all take cover and run

"Who did that?!"

faiya shouted as they saw Gozaburo and his team

"Gozaburo!"

Lita shouted as he laughed

"My love, I have some for you."

He said to her as he snapped his fingers making his team attack us Stephanie and Thea and Lita got in the way and cast their spells as Shields blocked his team's attack, Gozaburo's team were strong but that wasn't going to stop us from keeping that bastard away from tsume , I could tell that's tsume was frightened by him and that was probably going to make this fight a lot harder if she didn't help us

"Just wait my love when we get reunited you're going to love the gift I'm going to give you"

He said with a smirk this goes a whirl pulled out his sword and use some sort of attack as he plunged his sword into the ground creating a shock wave and knocking everyone back, everyone tried to struggle to get up from the ground but couldn't find the strength to do so, I used the blade of my sword to stand as I saw the guy making his way over to a scared tsume and then got down on one knee while holding a black box in hand

"You mean the world to me and I know that I was awful to you but now I know my mistake and I promise that I will do better, if you say you'll be mine I'll spare your friends"

he said as he showed her the red ruby ring in the Box.

"Tsume, get away from him!"

I shouted to her, but she never moved she didn't know how to reply to this guy's answer and she seemed to be afraid if she said the wrong thing then everyone will die

"I can't..."

Gozaburo didn't like that answer

"What?!"

"I can't because...I can't put myself in that place again"

Gozaburo stood up glaring at her

"I won't go back!"

Tsume said looking at him.

"You dear talk back to me"

He held his sword up

"You die fist"

He said as he bring down his sword a shadow formed around tsume when his sword may contact with it and pushed him away and there stood behind her kuro as a big wolf

"Tsume!"

I called to her and she looked my way and used her magic to heal me allowing me to stand, Stephanie and the others also were up as well ready for another fight with his companions

"Guys get ready for the worst fight in our lives, you probably might not all make it but I promise you that I will keep every one of you alive"

She said, showing off her dark aura. Hours later of fighting Gozaburo we won. tsume suffered more damage than all of us as she kept us safe and took him and his team out with one final attack with kuro. She was taken back to her master who hated and nursed her back to health. When she was better I finally made my move when I found her alone dancing in a field of flowers

"Tsume!"

I called as she stopped dancing and turned to me, she was dressed in white, And in my eyes, she was beautiful. I made my way to her and took her hand and told her how I felt

She seemed shocked by this but smiled and whispered in my ear her answers before she gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked away

I deep sigh and went back to faiya who was waiting for me.

"Well, what did she say?"

Faiya asked

"She said....no."

Faiya frowned when hearing that and felt sorry for me

"Don't worry you'll find someone."

Faiya said patting me on the back

"I understand why she said it. And it is for the best"

I said as faiya nodded. we were still the best team and we stayed together for years and more adventuring to come
