Chapter 4: unbelievable

Vex opened his eyes and saw he was in a bed. He couldn't remember much but saw tsume's face crying

He heard the door open and saw faiya coming in,

"Hey buddy, how's it going?"

She said with a smile as she took a seat next to his bed

"What. Happened?"

He asked as faiya looked down before looking up at him

"It was scary, it's my fault it happened."

She sounded guilty

"Tsume saved you. I don't know how since she was out of mana. But she saved you with her last bottle...and it was amazing."

Vex didn't know what she was talking about, she told him how tsume used an unknown attack she has never seen and thought she was saving it as her Ace card.

"But where's tsume?"

"With her master...she fell into a coma vex, the attack she used saved us but...hurts her, her master didn't think she would use an attack like that but when she did, it put her to sleep keeping you save in a flame of protection "

Vex started at faiya not believing this and looking away when filling tears stung his eyes.

"Don't worry, she'll pull through "

She said, trying to hold her emotions in. She made us a lot of money for taking down that elder Kobold. But we're not touching it until she sees it

Faiya told him, faiya for the first was nice to him, he just thought she was being nice out of pity but that wasn't it.

"Thank you faiya"

Vex said as she smiled and nodded

"Well rest up, we will do a mission to keep for ourselves, if you want to see the money it's in a safe Lita made "

She told him getting up from her chair and heading to the door but stopped

"Just so you know. What you did for her was brave vex, you risk yours for her, I'm sorry for making you feel bad"

She said with a smile and left the room. Vex sighs when being alone, he thought he would have died but he was surprised he was alive. All thanks to her, her Master must be proud of her if she killed an elder Kobold. He wonder if she would be ok or when will she wake up

A couple of days later. Stephanie's teacher would come over to heal him and treat his wounds. As this was going on everyone trained to make money but when he asked about tsume, Faiya only told him she was still asleep

It seemed hard to just lay in bed all day. But in order for him to heal he had to. Faiya,Lita, and Stephine would go out to get money, and food and buy new things for them. They even got a gift for tsume when she woke up, they would drop it off to her master place and day by day vex was slowly getting better

When vex was finally able to move he rushed over to tsume's master place and knocked on the door

"What do you want?"

Asked the man who opened the door, vex saw he appears as a tall, long-limbed, broad-shouldered adult man of indeterminate but reasonably young age, he has short jet black hair and his bangs fall slightly in his eyes, with strands on the sides of his bangs framing his face.

"I'm here to see tsume "

Vex said as the man just looked at him

"Why?"

This shook him as the man said nothing else

"She's my friend"

Vex said as the man spoke again
