Six

He hesitated just a moment before he kissed you back. You moved your lips against his, wanting more. Steve moved closer to you until both of your bodies were pushing against each others'. His hand grasped your waist, pulling you even closer. This kiss was everything you wanted in a kiss. This feeling was something new. You never felt the sensation that this kiss sent through your body before. Not even with Billy. This kiss set your entire body on fire. It calmed your nerves but also it also set them off. Unlike with the kisses with Billy, no one was trying to find a battle but seeking union and closeness. The heart rose in your cheek as his tongue touched your tongue, quick. Electric. Delicious.
It feels like it was meant to be. It feels right.This kiss feels just perfect. You felt yourself getting lost in his kiss but that's when he was pulled away from you. "I'm sorry to interrupt you two. I truly am because now he'll quit pinning over you in secret but we gotta get go,"
You nodded at Robin and back looked at Steve who was smiling ear to ear. "You better come back to me,"
"Ditto,"

"Scoops Troop, do you copy?" After Steve, Robin, Erica, and Dustin had left to go to the highest point in Hawkins. You, Nancy, Jonathan, and the kids all climbed into Nancy's car but the car wouldn't work. So Jonathan got out of the car and saw that the ignition cord was gone. That's when you and the kids heard a car engine starting to rev up. You had immediately recognized that car. It was Billy's. You all ran back into the mall or well Jonathan and Nancy had to help you back into the mall. Max and Will helped El back too.
You were sitting in one of the chairs while Nancy was filling her gun with bullets and Jonathan was looking for something to get the car started. Mike was trying to get ahold of Dustin and Steve. Max was watching Nancy.
"Scoops Troop, do you copy? Scoops Troop, do you copy? Scoops Troop, I repeat, do you copy? We're trapped in the mall and in need of emergency transportation. Scoops Troop, do you copy? Billy has found us. He has disabled our car and we are trapped in the mall. Repeat: Billy has disabled our car and we are trapped in the mall,"
"You're gonna kill him, aren't you?"
"This is just a precaution, okay? And not just against Billy. If he knows we're here, so does the Mind Flayer,"
"Scoops Troop, I repeat, we are in need of emergency transportation. Do you copy? Scoops Troop, do you copy?"
"No chance that'll drive, right?" Nancy asked, looking at the wrecked car.
"We don't need it to drive. We just need the ignition cable,"
They all went over to push the car over so he could get the cable. They told you just to sit down and not to worry about it but you told them that you felt useless not doing anything and you'll help him. "Push!"
"Shit!"
"Let me try,"
"El-"
"I can do it,"
You all stopped pushing on the car and you could see that she was trying. She was truly trying but she couldn't. She looked like she was on the verge of crying. Mike had come up with a physics option and that had worked. "How do you get it open?" Nancy asked as Jonathan was trying to open it up.
"Uh, there should be a latch. Check under the wheel. You see it?"
You saw Max and Mike walk over to El who was digging in the trash and she was trying to do something with the can and that's when you saw Max and Mike look up to the ceiling. So you did too. That's when you saw that thing on the ceiling. "Guys! It's here!"
You had no idea where Max, El, and Mike went because you were pushed on the other side of the car by Nancy with Lucas, Jonathan, and Will. You heard the walkie that you guessed Mike had left click on. "Griswold Family, this is Scoops Troop! Do you copy? Over! Griswold Family, I repeat, this is Scoops Troop,"
The next thing you know was that something had hit the floor next to the car. "Do you Griswold Family, do you copy? Do you copy?! Griswold Family, this is Scoops Troop. Please confirm your safety! Griswold Family, this is Scoops Troop! Please confirm your safety! Are you en route to Bald Eagle's nest? Please confirm your safety! Someone, please just answer. Is anyone there? Just answer! Anyone, please Griswold Family, do you copy? Griswold Family, do you copy? Griswold Family, do you copy? Do you copy,"
Your heart shattered hearing Dustin's voice filled with worry. He was your little brother. You were supposed to be worrying about him, not the other way around. You sat in that position for who knows how long before Lucas turned around and looked at the monster for a second before sitting back down and loading his slingshot. "What are you doing?"
"Don't worry," Lucas stood back up and flung rock on the opposite side of where you were. You could hear the creature run towards it.
"Go. Go. Go. Go," You said standing up.
The adrenaline that was rushing through your body was masking the pain of your ankle. You all ran towards the back exit of the mall. "Wait, we need that thing to not know where El is. He wants El,"
"Yeah?"
Mike nodded. "Nancy, Jonathan, Yn. take Lucas and Will out of here. Max and I will keep El here until you are far enough away so we can make a break for it,'
You shook your head. "No. I'll stay here with you three. I don't want you three alone by yourself with that thing,"
"You're hu-"
"We don't have time to argue. Just go,"
They all nodded. You four hid behind the staircase until you thought Nancy and them were far enough for you guys to make a break for it. Mike wrapped El's arm around his neck. "Come on, I think it's safe,"
Max wrapped El's other arm around her neck. You cautiously walked out of the mall through the side of it and that's when you saw Billy looking at the car that you were sure Steve was supposed to drive out of here. Did he come back?
You shook your head as you had other things to worry about. "Go. Get back to the mall,"

You four ran back into the mall and towards the elevators but the elevators weren't working. "Come on Billy, Billy, you don't have to do this. Billy," Max said. "Your name's Billy. Billy Hargrove. You live on 4819 Cherry Lane. Billy, please, I'm Max,"
You turned your head just in time to see Billy smacking Max across the face which in turn knocked her out cold. You stood between Billy and El and Mike. You couldn't say anything before he smacked you, knocking you out cold.

You woke up with major confusion. You rolled over to your stomach and once the flurries cleared from your vision. You saw Mike unconscious. You could also see Max was still unconscious. You got to your feet and checked to see if they were still breathing and they were. You didn't bother to wake them up as you thought they were safer.
You ran down the corridors and that's when you saw Billy holding El down. "Flay this, you ugly piece of shit!" You heard Jonathan yell.
You couldn't tell where they were as they started throwing fireworks at the Mind Flayer.
"Hey, asshole! Over here!"
You saw El was talking with Billy. She placed a hand on his cheek. "Billy!" You yelled.
Billy looked over at you and he let Eleven go and he started walking towards you. Your heart sped up, you didn't think this through all you wanted was Billy to be everything Eleven. "Yn,"
Your heart skipped a beat when he said your name. He walked up to you and placed a hand on your face."Yn,"
"Billy,"
Billy leaned down and kissed you. You kissed him back. All the memories that you two shared through your years knowing each other flooded through the kiss. This kiss was familiar. It tasted of all the pain, love, memories, past that you and Billy shared. It didn't feel right. Not anymore.
Billy pulled away from you and placed his forehead against yours. "I'm sorry for everything,"
The creature roared which sent Billy turning to look at it. He faced you once more. "I still love you," He said, pulling away from you and walking towards the creature.
"I love you too, Billy," You didn't know if he heard you or not but you did still love him.
You watched him walk up to the Mind Flayer and stopped whatever that thing was from going towards El. The thing created more of those arm things and it stuck him in the side. Another one and another one. "BILLY!"
You heard Max yelled. You wanted to go to her but you were frozen in place as you were watching this thing killing your first love. You saw the Flayer create one more arm or whatever it was and shoot in through Billy's chest, delivering the final blow to him. You cried out for him as the Mind Flayer started dying itself. They must have closed the gate. You didn't care about that as you ran towards Billy and Max. "Billy? Billy. Billy, Billy, get up, please. Billy, get up, please, please,"
"I'm sorry," Was Billy's last words towards his sister.
"Billy Billy. Billy. Billy, wake up. Billy, get up. Please, Billy Billy! Billy Billy,"
You pulled Max into your lap and cried with her. "It's okay. It's okay. It's okay," You kept repeating through your tears.
You looked from Max and looked over at the body of your first love laying there lifeless. You couldn't believe that he is dead. You cried out for him once more. How are you gonna tell his dad? How are you gonna tell his step mom? You heard Max start crying harder as you squeezed her tighter. "He's free from all the pain that he was suffering from, Max. It's okay,"
-Three months later-
Robin, you and Steve all pulled up to Family Video as Robin and Steve were trying to get a job there. You looked down at his resume. "You put your mom as a reference?"
Robin came as close as she could from the backseat. "You did not!"
"Wait? She's a highly respectable lady in this town," He said getting out of the car.
You and Robin both looked at each other and said in unison. "Dignus,"
You and Robin had become pretty close friends in your shared teasing of Steve since the events of what happened at the mall.
It's been three months since the events at the mall. You all were trying to move on from it. Robin and Steve were trying to find another job. Jonathan, Will, Joyce and El were all moving to California. Hopper had died down in the secret base so El was staying with Joyce. Nancy was doing her thing, which you don't really know. Max and you. You guys were still reeling from Billy's death but you guys were slowly healing together. Steve knew you were still healing from it and he hasn't pushed to talk about the kiss or how the two of you feel about each other. That's not necessarily what you wanted but it's exactly what you needed.
The U.S government had covered up the events as a mysterious fire that had burned the mall down and you were all forced to sign an NDA. Which was not the first one that the others had signed but the first one that you and Robin had to sign. They also said that they couldn't find any one Russian down there.
"Just to be clear, we weren't fired, you know. The mall burned down and, like, killed a bunch of people," Robin said, trying to sell the story towards the clerk.
You were standing towards the back watching it all.
"Thanks for sharing. Didn't know. Three favorite movies. Go,"
"Uh The Apartment, Hidden Fortress, Children of Paradise,"
"You, go," The clerk said, looking at Steve.
Steve looked so confused. "Favorite movies?"
"Did I stutter?"
"Uh Animal House, for sure," Steve said looking at you.
"Eyes on me, Harrington,"
"Yeah. Uh Star Wars,"
"A New Hope?"
"A new what-now?"
"Which Star Wars?"
"The one with the teddy bears,"
"No? Uh Oh, the one that just came out. The movie that just came out. The one with the DeLorean and Alex P. Keaton, and he's trying to bang his mom. The time Yeah, those are my top three. Classics,"
You slapped your hand against your head. "You're such an idiot, Harrington,"
The clerk looked at Robin."You start Monday,"
"You start never,"
Robin told Steve to give them a minute to talk and he walked over and looked at all the movies. Robin lowered her voice but you could still hear what they were saying. "All right, you have to understand, Keith, I know his taste is a bit pedestrian, but the dingus has other qualities,"
"He's a douchebag of the highest order, Robin,"
"He was a bit of a prick to us in high school, I'll grant you that, but he remains a total chick magnet,"
"Yeah, okay, and this is relevant to me, how?"
"Uh, Earth to Keith. The ladies will come in just to see him. They'll come in in droves. Droves, Keith. We sold so much ice cream, they had to get a second shipment in from Michigan. Goddamn Michigan, Keith. And these ladies These ladies are hot. They're so very hot. And there are too many of them for little Steve. He needs assistance. He needs your assistance, Keith,"
" Doesn't Steve and that girl you came in with have the hots for each other?"
You could see Robin visibly sigh. "That's-That's. Girls will come flocking in regardless if he was taken or not. Don't you know girls want what they can't have,"
"Oh!" You heard Steve say.
You turned and saw that Steve had knocked into a cutout of a girl. "Fast Times. Fast Times. Ever heard of it? Top three for me, Keith,"
You rolled your eyes and chuckled.
"You,"
You turned your head towards Keith. "Me?"
"Yeah. Top three movies,"
"Oh uhm The Shining, Ghostbusters. E-T,"
"Interesting choices but still good. You got the job if you want,"
"I wasn-"
Steve and Robin both answered it faster than you could. "She'll take it,"
