Ainsley's POV
After 3 hours of waiting for Elena to be out of surgery, or to even know what is going on we had finally hear something, they said that it was a drunk driver who hit her and that they might be close to finding out who it was. We also found out that she is out of surgery. They are running some test now to see how she is doing. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Ms. Rickards is either really scared for Elena or she is hiding something. I think she is acting weird because of the whole situation. I mean there is nothing that she would be hiding from us about Elena right?
Elena's Mom POV
It has been about an hour since they said that Elena was out of surgery. What if they find out who her father is. I can't let people know that I am not her mother and that her father is my brother and is gone. I was brought out of my own thoughts by being lightly tapped on my arm by Selena.
"Hello, you must be Ms. Rickards?" If only they knew.
"Yes I am her. How is Elena?" I asked scared that they might know the truth.
"She is awake, and doing ok, she is not back to health but she will be soon. Would you guys like to see her?"
We all nod hoping that he will let us see her.
"Ok then, follow me." Once we get into the room, I notice that they did not put her name on the board yet. Most likely because she just got out of surgery not to long ago. As we walk I see that Elena turns her head toward us.
"Elena! Oh my gosh, you scared us. How are you doing?" As Ainsley spoke, Alex turned her head sideways as if she was trying to remember where she had seen her before.
"I'm sorry but who is Elena and do I know any of you?" Shocked everyone, before anyone else has a chance to say anything the doctor came back in with a serious look on his face.
"Ms. Rickards, do you know who the father of um Elena is?" I knew this was going to happen. This is way I never took her to the hospital for anything.
"Yes I do." I said more as a question, then an answer.
"Ms. Rickards, Elena is not your daughter and her name is not Elena, but I have a feeling you already knew that."
"What is he talking about Ms. Rickards? What does he mean that Elena is not Elena and that you are not her mom?" Mason asked from behind me. I knew this day would come and I know that people are going to find out and it is going to be all over the world.
"She is not my daughter, she is my brother in law's daughter. Her name is Alex Walker. She is Paul walker's daughter." I said only looking at Alex and the doctor.
"You know we have to report this to the police, unless you have the will of Paul saying that he wanted you to take care of her." My heart rate skyrocketed in my chest, I knew that there was no papers because of the way all of that was handled.
"No there was no papers saying that I should take care of her. I only had Paul's word."
"You know Ms. Rickards, once we go to the police there will be no way to keep this a secret. Everyone is going to find out that she is Paul Walker's daughter. They are going to ask her question, which I know that she does not have the answers to." At this moment I knew there was nothing I could do, I know they already called Paul's family and I know that word is already out about her being Paul's daughter. I can hear the people outside waiting for something about Paul's mystery daughter. I have to do what I was told to do protect Alex. Just as I was about to say something to Alex and her friends, the police walk in to take me away.
"Emily Rickards, you are under arrest for guardian misconduct. You have the right to remain silence anything you say can and will be used against you." As they handcuffed me, I looked at Alex's face for what was going to be the last time and I looked at her friends' faces. I knew that what they saw was something horrible but in reality it was me, trying to protect Alex.
Alex's POV
As they took away my aunt, I realized I know nothing about me or about my life even. All this time I thought I was Elena Rickards, but I am actually Alex Walker. I cannot really recall who the people are beside me, but I know that they were very important to Elena. Just as they took Emily away, my Uncle Cody, and Caleb walked in with the Fast and Furious cast, which I know for a fact that the Walker's classified as their second family. I guess now I classify them as family now too.
"Oh my gosh, Alex. Look at you, you are all grow up." My Uncle Cody says while taking a sit next to me.
"Hi." This was the only thing I could get out of mouth. I want to say so many things but I have too many questions that if I ask even just one that they would all spill out.
"I know you must have a bunch of questions." Vin Diesel says while taking the sit next to my Uncle. All I could do was nod.
"Well I guess we all have to start from the begging don't we?" My Uncle Caleb says sitting down next my legs.
"Well it was about 10, 11 years ago. You were about 5 or 6. Your Dad and Mom were together and they were happy. I mean they had you so why wouldn't they be? But four days before your 5th birthday, someone killed your mother and they tried to kill you too. This was all before Paul was famous. He didn't know what to do so he asked a family friend to watch you until it was safe for you to come home. You remember how he died right? Well, that day he was coming to get you, to let Emily know that he was ready to take you home and become your father again but the car crashed and he didn't make it."
Before Uncle Caleb could finish the story I was crying. My mom is gone and so is my Dad. As I was crying I feel multiple hands rubbing my back and my head, trying to calm me down. After a couple of minutes Vin speaks up.
"Alex, your father left this note just in case something ever did happen and he never got to see you again. He was always thinking about the future."
"That sounds like me." I said with a small laugh.
"Well he would want you to read it." Vin said while handing me the letter.
"If you want we can leave you alone?" Jordana said.
"No, I want you guys here, please." I said with a smile.
"You even have his smile." This made me smile even more, knowing that I have his smile."Dear Alex,
I have wanted to write this for such a long time, but I never knew what to say. I wrote this in case that I never got to meet you. I guess since you are reading this, I never did get to meet you but please know that I looking down on you with pride. Over the past couple of years, I have been able to see what you were doing and how you have been doing. That is all thanks to Emily. I wish I was able to see you and help with all the problems that you have. I know from Emily that you love Fast and Furious, and I am so happy that you like them. People who are famous really worry about what other people think about their movies or songs, but for me, the only person I was worried about her liking my movies was you. Your judgment means everything. Knowing you got to see me on a screen make me feel happier, then not knowing that you have never seen me. I hope that you are able to adjust to your new life. It is going to be hard, but I want you to know that I left everything for you, and I want you to know that you have our family right behind you, to guide you and to be there with you for everything. I hope that you are safe and I want you to know that I love you, not matter what.
Love,
Paul"
Once I was done reading the letter, I was crying. I was lied to about my entire life and now my father is gone.
"Does this ever get easier?" I asked while, my Uncle Cody and Vin hug me trying to calm me down. Once I am done crying I look up to see that my whole family is here to support me. I also see that there is some other people here. I think I know them but I most likely knew them when I was Elena but I have no idea who they are. I have so many questions and this is just going to be the start.
