A New Start

I spent the rest of that night on the park bench waking up as the sun started to hit it's halfway rising point. I sit up on the bench grabbing my bookbag. I have to remind myself that its Saturday and I can't go home now.

I sigh, picking up my bag and slinging it over my shoulder. I begin walking out of the park, passing under the shadows of trees. I walk along the sidewalk as cars speed past me.

I kept thinking that this would be the boldest thing I had ever done. I was always under the roof of my drunk parents, always under their care, even if it wasn't good.

I looked toward my right and something caught my eye. I stopped, looking at it more closely.

It was a wanted ad. A local pizzeria down the street was looking to hire a night guard for a pretty decent paycheck.

I smirked.

Maybe this was the kind of opportunity I was looking for.

*************

I headed for the address and found it no trouble. It was a decent sized building and it had a large sign on the front declaring it to be called Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria.

I walk up to the door, the wanted ad in one hand as I opened the door with the other. The door made a high pitched bing sound and I let the door close behind me.

On the inside, it was pretty well built, from where I could see there was a room full of party type tables and a few hallways, one leading to the bathroom the other leading to what I assumed the kitchen.

"Hi there, you look a bit old to be coming to Fazbear's aren't you?" I turn to see a guy smiling in my direction. He has tousled brown hair and bright blue eyes. He wears to what I assume was the pizzerias uniform. It was black vest with a red tee underneath, with a black tie. On the right side of his vest a name plate read Thomas.

"Hey Thomas," I said holding out my hand.

He looked down at his name plate and chuckled to himself, shaking my hand, "Well now I don't have to introduce myself."

I let go of his hand showing him the ad I had picked up, "I wanted to apply."

He smiled brightly at me, "Thank god! I was actually the night guard before the company sent out this ad. I got offered a promotion so I was moving up, but they said that before I can get promoted I needed someone to take my place. It's been three weeks but now your here, so I have to personally thank you..." he kept on talking like this for a few minutes before seeing the look I was giving him so he stopped abruptly.

"But that's not important right now," he then walking a few feet from me toward the area where the party tables were at. "Follow me, I'll show you to the office."

**************

He led me through the party room it looked to be. It had around ten or so tables covered in tablecloths. Birthday hats were displayed on top of them, you know the cheap cone shaped ones.

I then noticed something at the corner of my eye. I turned around and saw them.

Three animatronics.
