"We'll sleep here." Max said when they found a cave.
"No." Marko argued. "We're getting closer and closer to her."
"The sun is coming up." Max reminded him.
"But we have the rings." Paul pointed out.
"They will only keep us alive for so long."
"Max is right guys." David sighed. "I don't like it any more than you do but we should be able to find Harmony tomorrow with no problems."
The five vampires all jumped up and were now hanging upside down as closed their eyes to rest for the journey and possibly the fight that was to come.
In David's dream, he was having a flashback of when Harmony was a little girl, she was terrified of the water. The boys were at the beach and they took her with them. After they burned the bodies of their meal they went to go wash off the blood on their clothes in the ocean. David saw Harmony almost look sick and stayed by her side. He frowned when he saw the tears fall from her eyes.
"Hey, look at me." David told her gently as he grabbed her chin and had her look him in the eyes. ''We would have never brought you here if we thought something here was going to hurt you. Don't you trust us?"
She nodded her head.
"You're our pack mate and we keep you safe, so trust me when I tell you the water won't hurt you. If anything you can hurt the water. I would bet you could beat any shark out there." David knew Harmony was made out of the fire but he also knew that the water won't physically hurt her. This wasn't a common childhood fear like a monster in the closet, this was something she'll see every day and he didn't want her afraid. David lifted Harmony up into his arms and held her to him as he walked into the ocean with her tightly pressed against his chest. Harmony flinched and cried a little but she was fine. David had her watch the other three vampires splash and tackle each other in the water. "Always trust us Harmony, you're the most protected child in the whole world because of us. Show your loyalty to us and don't be afraid."
As Harmony got older the boys were getting more upset about it. People stopped seeing Harmony as the adorable little girl that would follow her "brothers" everywhere and grow into a beautiful teen. The boys knew other guys were staring at their mate and it burned them up, most of them ended up dead before the sunset but Harmony stops the ones that are totally innocent and just admire her from afar.
David punished her for stopping them from killing a group of guys that tried to get her attention since they didn't need to feed. Soon the boys came up with an idea. They already marked Harmony but humans couldn't see it. They got her wristbands with each of their names on them, a note for her to keep in her pocket for everyone to know where to bring her if she gets lost, and last the choker.
Everyone says raising a child is hard but since Harmony was their packmate it was easy for them. A pack mate is made to be perfect for the many other individuals that are imprinted on them and it's the best to start from when they're young. Harmony was a newborn when the boys found her which was perfect. They raised her to be the perfect pack mate before she could grow and have a mind of her own. Now she's gone and it's torturing them.
Meanwhile, Hades looked down at Harmony who was sleeping on his chest. He ran his fingers through her hair as he watches her sleep. Since Harmony was raised by vampires she had a hard time being awake during the day. His daughter was grown up, he missed everything, and the fact that she's a pack mate was just another punch to the gut. He can't make her stay here but he doesn't know how he feels about watching his daughter be with possessive vampires. The choker around her neck angered him since to him it was like they were putting a collar on a dog but Harmony assured him the boys treat her right.
His thoughts were interrupted by someone banging the gates open.
