Mikki And The Frogs

Harmony groaned as her phone went off, she looked at the time on it and saw it was early in the morning, she's only been sleeping for four hours. She looked at the caller ID and saw it was Mikki, she ran Max's video store during the day.

"Hello." Harmony answered the phone.

"Harmony, I'm so sorry, I know I woke you but Max isn't answering his phone and the storage room is locked. Please tell me you have a key." Mikki panicked.

"Yeah, I got a key." Harmony yawned and sat up. "Do you really need it now? I'm not really allowed to leave home."

"Yes we need it now, the store is opening in an hour and I got to get all the new releases out! I can't believe Max locked the room and took the key."

Harmony chuckled. "Yeah, Max doesn't really think straight when he's hungry. Alright, if I leave now I can make it before opening."

"You saved my life again Harmony." Mikki sighed.

"I know." Harmony hung up and looked up to see her boys hanging from the ceiling still fast asleep since vampires don't wake up until the sun is down or they hear the scream of a member in their pack. Harmony snapped on her outfit and made sure she had her choker, wristbands, and note on her before she quickly wrote a note for the boys just in case.

Harmony was under strict rules with the boys but she figured she was just gonna go give Mikki the key and be right back. Harmony grabbed the cycle Paul and Marko got her for her sixteenth birthday, David and Dwayne were pissed at them for that but Harmony is their mate too. Sure she could teleport to the video store and come back, that'd make it much easier but she can't leave Mikki suspicious.

Max is the pack's head vampire, he turned all her boys into the creatures of the night they are today. When Max heard his boys had a packmate he was thrilled and he watched Harmony when the boys went out to feed. One of Harmony's powers was that she can see the souls of mortals and she points out the murderers and rapists to her boys so they don't kill the innocent, which is how she met Mikki.

Harmony parked her cycle in front of the store and went in handing Mikki the key.

"I owe you another one Harmony." Mikki sighed relieved.

"Sure." Harmony said as they hugged. "How are you doing? Police said anything about Matthew?"

"No." Mikki said sadly. "Is it wrong that I hope he's dead?"

"After what he did to you I would be more worried if you didn't." Harmony replied. She wishes she could tell Mikki that she knows Matthew is dead because her boys are the ones that killed him.

Mikki went to go visit her cousin Connie for two weeks but she didn't know Connie's husband Matthew sexually abused her and when Mikki came in he did the same thing to her. Harmony just so happened to look into Matthew's soul when he came into the boardwalk and saw him for what he was, she had her boys hunt him down and kill him while she went to where he lived and freed Mikki who was locked in a room with bars. Mikki's cousin Connie was now in recovery and Harmony is the one who asked Max if Mikki could have a job at his video store until she got back on her feet.

"Thanks again Harmony." Mikki said as she returned the key. "Just in time for opening."

"Anytime Mikki." Harmony said before she went back outside about to get on her bike but she heard yelling. Turning around she saw two boys dressed like army men chasing a couple of older surfers who had their arms full of comics. Harmony knew there was a comic book store that way she figured those two were workers and they were chasing the thieves.

Harmony thought quick as she got in front of the surfers and held her arms out to her sides causing the two to run into her arms and have the wind knocked right out of them. They stayed down on the ground why Harmony grabbed the comics and gave them to the two boys.

"Thank you." The dark-haired one said.

"Sure." Harmony said getting back on her bike.

"Here. As a token of our gratitude." The one with a red bandana around his head said.

Harmony grabbed the comic to see it was called 'Destroy All Vampires.' That kinda made her choke a bit.

"It's a survival guide, study it, and if you ever wanna see one of those blood trusty demons give us a call."

"And you are?" Harmony asked.

"I'm Edgar and this is my brother Alan." Edgar said.

"Edgar and Alan." Harmony said amused. "What's your last name? Poe?"

"Frog." Alan answered.

Harmony scoffed before starting her cycle. "You boys would be better off with Poe." With that, she left the two brothers and headed home.
