Darkness.

That's all Mary saw. No light, no way out. Just pitch black.

Her chest heaved up and down as she tried breathing in. Her lungs ached for a fresh breath of air she couldn't seem to find. Her limbs were sore and her eyes stung.

But she wasn't dead, though she felt like she was.

Her eyes slowly opened and she found herself in a lab.

She looked around and tried getting up. A rattle sounded. She looked down to see her arms strapped to a table.

"The hell?" she muttered. "Sam? Dean? Cas? Bobby?"

A man with cold steel blue eyes sauntered up to her and placed a finger to his lips.

"Who are you?" Mary demanded.

A gray-haired man looked at the steel blue-eyed man and said, "Soldier, cover her mouth."

Wordlessly, the Soldier did as he was told.

Mary tried to bite the Soldier's hand and winced as her teeth hit metal. The Soldier placed the gag around her mouth. She let out a scream and glared at the men.

The gray-haired man smiled and said, "Let's get started."

"No!" Mary cried, trying to fight her bindings.

But no matter what, she couldn't.

Mary Winchester was lost to those who knew her, to those who would come to know her, and most tragically, to herself.

The girl became nothing more her namesake; a rifle.

A loaded gun.
