Julian asked to go to the movies today. It was kind of unexpected honestly, I wasn't expecting him to ask to see me for some reason. I don't know why, to be honest since we have been talking for about a week now maybe a little longer.
But Mom wanted to meet him first before she would let me out with him. He's kind of the first boy that I really ever told her about or that I told I actually might like, besides my ex-boyfriend Damon. She still believes I'm like thirteen though.
"He's coming over at around seven to meet you," I told my mom who was sitting in the living room.
"You like him?" she raised an eyebrow at me.
"What? I mean, nah. I don't think."
"Stop lying," she laughed.
"I'm serious, Mother."
"Of course you are, Daughter," she replied. "That's why you talk to him 24/7, right?"
"Yup, you're right."
"I know I am."
"Okay, Mom."
"Okay, Kendall."
I decided to take that as an oppertunity to leave the living room and walk upstairs to my room. As I walked inside, Julian decided to call me. "I'm coming earlier," he said as soon as I answered.
"Why?"
"Because we can grab something to eat before the movie."
"You could ask me, you know," I joke.
"Don't start with me, Kendall," I heard a slight laugh.
Julian and I always have really small arguments over just about anything. Yet, he hasn't made me mad; which, is a surprise because I get annoyed easily. He annoys me, he does, but it's in a good way.
"I mean, I'm just saying. You're coming to my house and you could at least ask me if you could come earlier instead of telling me. What if I was going out wi—"
"Shut up. You sound like an idiot."
I attempt to make an argument, "I'm an idiot?"
"Don't put this on me when you're the one who started it. You always do this!" he laughed.
"I know," I chuckled. "Yeah, but it's fine. You can come around 6 then?"
"More like 5. I want to see you."
I smiled, "Mhm."
"So it's cool?"
