Chapter 11

The next day we got up and were ready to head to our first  music show performance and debut. To say it was nerve wrecking would be an understatement. Though yes, we did film a whole program for months  and knew how filming went, this was our official debut. This would be the stage people would go and look back on when talking about our debut. We only had one chance to get this right. Once we were in the waiting room we got changed into our outfits and finished our hair and makeup. We were in the same outfits as the day before. Once we were done we put on our name tags and went to the stage for the dry rehearsals. Basically ran through the dance testing the mics and levels and making sure our spacing was okay and good to go. After about 30 minutes that was done and we headed back to the dressing room where our lovely managers had brought us some snacks. 

It was still early morning so I couldn't talk to my parents as they were most likely still asleep. Same goes with all the cousins I'm close to, so can't talk to them either. I'd talk to my members but they are all tired and I wouldn't want to bother them. I settled on texting my best friend from the states as they should still be up. Lily was someone I had gotten close to right before I moved here and surprisingly enough I had managed to stay in close contact with her. She had kept me updated on everything happening within our friend circle. When the survival show came about she and the rest of our friends made an effort to show their support for me. I'm very grateful for her since out of the two of us I was always the more extroverted and she, well she hates interacting with people. So her making the effort to keep me updated with everything and holding viewing parties for each episode meant a lot to me.

Me: Heyyy 

Me: i'm bored

Me: entertain me

Bestie<3:  hiii

Bestie<3: uhhh how?

Bestie<3: also aren't you supposed to be busy?

Me: Idk

Me: not really we're waiting for camera rehearsals to start

Bestie<3: ohhhh

Me: yeahhhh

Me: i'm bored

Bestie<3: call?

"Hey Jihyo unnie, would it be okay if I called a friend for a bit? It's a friend from home," I asked and explained to her before I responded to my friend.

"Yeah it should be fine. Just know camera rehearsals are going to start soon," She said looking up from her phone. I hummed in response as I called my friend.

"Hey love," 

"Hi,"

"How are things going? You guys surviving hell?"

"Ugh don't even remind me"

"Don't you have most of your electives tomorrow though?"

"No that was today, so today wasn't that bad but I got math and science tomorrow so that's gonna be horrible,"

"It can't be that bad," 

"Says the one that doesn't study but still gets straight As,"

"What can I  say? I'm good at guessing,"

"Yeah yeah, anyways congrats on the debut. We all love the song and the music video. We would've seen the premiere but it was like 2 a.m. when it came out."
