Lucky One -- Twice FF

Chapter 19

As soon as we arrived to MCountdown we were rushed to change and into make up before heading to rehearsals.  We have been on so a decent amount of music shows at this point that we knew the drill and knew what to do. Thankfully we also got to see and interact with our fans during the pre-recording. That is always exciting as it's still a little surreal to see our fans show up to our performances because they want to and not because we are doing promo in a public space or performing in a festival. Plus their excitement also gives us a boost of energy, which helps on days where we have multiple schedules like today.

Before we knew it the show was over and we were heading back to the dorm. Sadly for the way home I was riding with Dahyun and of course my bad luck didn't stop there as I got stuck sitting next to her. So now, not only did I have to do my best not to be stiff or awkward but I couldn't fall asleep on the ride. Since the last time this happened I accidentally leaned on her as I slept and well she did not like that. Though I really wanted to sleep. I was really tired. I know the other members are too, so I can't talk to them to stay awake like I normally do. I mean at least two other members are already asleep. I could text my friends back home. But I don't know if they'll respond. Plus I'm really tired and would love to get some sleep. But I don't want to accidentally make her more upset with me.   

I settled on just listening to music and trying to stay awake. I'd rather lose some sleep than make her uncomfortable or hate me even more.  Plus we were only 30 minutes away from the dorm. Then I could wind down and sleep for a bit. I just have to wait it out.

Bunny: Go to sleep I can see you fighting it

Me: I'm just waiting to get to the dorm then I'll sleep

Bunny: sleep I'll wake you up when we get home

Me: No it's okay I can wait

Bunny:  Ana go to sleep I mean it

Me:  No unnie I'm fine really

Bunny: Are you sure?

Me: Yes unnie I'm sure

I saw her shaking her head. I knew she would want to talk when the chance came. I knew she was tired of me being stubborn. Especially when it came to sleep. Honestly most days I would be asleep by now. I may fight it every now and then but usually I sleep as soon as we get in the car. Today had to be different. 

Luckily enough for me time went by quickly and we were finally home. I had used my time in the car wisely and had wiped my make up off so now all I had to do was wash my face and brush my teeth. So once we got home I ran to the bathroom to get it over with before heading to my room and finally, after such a long day, got some rest.

The next morning I woke up pretty late in my opinion as it was almost 10 a.m. Of course the first thing I did was call my parents. Usually we would have called already or they would've gotten a text but since I had slept in they hadn't and I didn't want them worry.

It's safe to say my mom was a lot more relaxed once we hung up. It was always nice talking to her in the morning, especially when we barely had the time nowadays. Sadly my dad was not around. Apparently he had gone back to coaching soccer so between that and work he was barely home. I was starting to miss him more than normal. That reminds me I should probably text my cousins back. It's been a while since we talked too.
