Chapter 14

** Two Weeks later**

Today we were at the company to talk about our first comeback. We were all excited yet nervous. We knew what the process would be like or at least had a rough idea but we all knew our debut wasn't exactly a huge success money wise. People knew our name and that was good but it wasn't enough to gather a stable fan base going forward.

"I see we are all here so let's get started," JYP said as he sat in his chair at the end of the table. "Okay so the debut was not the biggest success but still a success nonetheless. People know of you and that means people will be curious as to what happens next. But it seems the girl crush concept isn't going to work out in our favor. This time around we will try a new concept, a more cute and girlish concept. I already have the title track written but the b-sides are yet to be decided." He said. We all looked at each other with high hopes for the song. Though since it was a cute concept I was a little worried. I may be able to act cute with my members but that all comes out naturally and it's not forced for a stage. I wonder if I will be able to pull it off. When he said the b-side had not been decided I got excited.

"Ana, you seem excited, any ideas?" He said seeing my reaction.

"Oh um yes actually. I've been writing a few songs and they'll need to be translated but would I be able to submit them to be considered as a b-side?" I said, setting my song book on the table.

"Well that can definitely be arranged," He said with a surprised smile. "Why don't you stay behind after this meeting and we'll go over them?"

"It would be an honor," I said with a shy smile.

"Does anyone else want to join?" He asked the rest of the members.

"I actually have a few ideas as well," Chaeyoung said, pulling out her own notebook.

"Perfect, stay behind as well and we will go from there," He said with a smile. "If any of you ever want to contribute please do not be afraid to speak up. The more input you have in your music whether you are writing or not, the more connected and content you will be with your music and the more the public will see that."

We all nodded to say we understood. Chaeyoung and I were happy to know we could always have a say, seeing as we were the more free spirited ones in the group.

"Now let's continue with the style we are thinking of going with for the music video and performances. The song is about a girl not wanting their crush to know she likes him. She is playing hard to get in other words. After this you will hear the song. But since this is a more cute concept to make the transition from girl crush to cute we had thought of a sporty look. Nothing too much, just letter man jackets, skirts and shorts. You'll keep the hair the same length but more natural hair colors." Our main stylist said. "Jeongyeon, Sana, Momo, Mina, Dahyun and Charyoung, you will all bleach your hair. We haven't decided how light you'll go yet but you'll find out soon enough."

"The dance has been decided as well and it will require more focus from all of you. There are a few parts that may be changed depending on the parts given and/or difficulty to perform but that will be discussed as we learn and practice." Our choreographer said and we all nodded in response.

"The music video has not been finalized yet but once it is we will have a separate meeting for that. We are planning on filming it some time in late February, early March. In the meantime focus on learning the title track and the rest of the songs as you are given them. You will receive the title track today and the rest in the next two weeks," JYP said, giving us a rough timeline. "If anything changes your managers will let you know. Now should we go to the studio to listen to the song?"

We all nodded and headed into the studio on the floor above. Once we settled in the room he played the song for us. The instrumental sounded simple at first but got more complex and interesting as it went on. The vocals didn't seem too bad nor too high for the most part. The rap part sounded fun and I could definitely see Dahyun and Chaeyoung going back and forth on that part. The bridge sounded beautiful and would suit Mina and Jihyo perfectly. Personally I wanted the second half of the bridge and the chorus.
