"Don't you have anything better to do than irritate us?"

🌀

Drishti sat on the benches looking at Vivaan with a dazed smile. Everything felt surreal. Vivaan and his friends practised quite hard and Drishti couldn't help but appreciate their dedication. Vivaan kept stealing glances at Drishti. Everytime there eyes met, Drishti would turn red and immediately look away, only to look back again after a moment. This went on throughout the practice.

It made Drishti think that maybe, whatever happened that weekend at the ground was nothing. That he was only upset of the rude words thrown his way by his ex's father even after playing with his son. As per her, that man was as rude as her daughter and she didn't like him even an ounce.

Vivaan's hand was clasped in Drishti's as they walked back to the class after the cricket team's practice was over. The girls were gawking at Vivaan whose hair was tousled from trying to dry it after being drenched in sweat. Drishti felt insecure which made her hold his hand tighter.

But Vivaan was enjoying it as usual. He was too busy basking in his fame that he failed to see his girlfriend's discomfort. He strutted towards his class as if he owned the world. To the girls, his gestures were 'godly'.

The first thing he saw upon entering the class was Ruhi and Suhana sitting rather quietly. That was very unusual of them.

Without even thinking what he was doing, Vivaan pulled his hand out fo his girlfriend's grip and walked towards them. Drishti's hand lingered in mid-air, still in the position where once she was holding his hands, mouth agape and eyes following him.

She didn't know what she should decipher from this? Vivaan didn't even grace her with a glance. He didn't even say anything and just walked away. Should she consider this as a red flag? She didn't know.

She brushed those thoughts aside and put on a smile; a very fake on to say. She sat down on her bench and looked forward with a serene façade when a storm of discomfort and insecurity ravaged through her.

Vivaan leaned on Ruhi and Suhana's desk. He whistled lowly. "Trouble in paradise, eh?"

"None of your damn business," hissed Ruhi, not even looking at him.

"Is lil Ruhi upset?" He cooed in mock.

"Leave us alone, you irritating leech," spat Suhana, eyes burning with fiery.

"I am scared," cried Vivaan in mockery. "So, so scared."

"Don't you have anything better to do than irritate us?" Ruhi's whole face was scrunched up in irk.

"Nah," Vivaan said taking the empty bench beside theirs. "This is what I enjoy. And you two having a fight and not talking is like cherry on the top."

"Die," hissed Ruhi.

"I will take you along with me, darling." Vivaan winked at her and with that he got up.

"Bastard," hissed Suhana.

"Agreed." Ruhi nodded. The two looked at each other and then, turned away.

Vivaan sat beside Drishti in his bench. She opened her mouth to speak with him when he again got up with his bag and walked over to Arav's desk. He whispered something to Arav who nodded in return. Then, Shriya who sitting beside Arav, got up looking furious and walked over to Drishti's desk with her bag. She dropped her back on the bench with a loud thud and sat. She didn't even bother looking at her best friend.

Drishti thought to approach her but seeing her face, she decided against it. She looked at her boyfriend who for some unknown reason had seemed to forgotten her very existence, was quite delightful chatting with his best friend. She felt a stab in her heart. An unbearable pain buzzed in her mind till every other sound drowned around her. She felt broken and used. Tears welled up in her eyes quicker than she anticipated. It threatened to drop even if she blinked. She couldn't cry now, not here. Getting up of her bench, she ran out of the classroom and towards the washroom.

Shriya feeling calmer than before turned around.

"Do you know about the new girl?" Shriya asked the two angry best friends warily.

She immediately piqued both their interest.

"Who?" asked Suhana.

"I don't know, her name is Hiya Bhattacharya, I think," Shriya said.

Vivaan who had forgotten his pencil bag in his desk, was coming to Shirya to ask her to give him his pencil bag from inside the desk, stood petrified hearing the news.

"Why do you care some much about that girl?"

Vivaan's cold voice snapped the girls' attention towards him.

"Well, it just that she happens to join the school in the middle of the year... in 10th grade. Sorry if I was curious and found out her name," Shriya said snarkily.

"Her parents had a lot of money," growled Vivaan. The three girls were shocked. They had never seen Vivaan like this- so cold and predatory.

Vivaan pulled out his pencil bag from inside the desk and walked away.

"That was very unlike him," murmured Ruhi. "I have known him since I were in kindergarten but he never ever acted like this."

"Something is not okay." Suhana looked intently at Vivaan who was again back to normal, talking with Arav.

"Brings back bad memories, I guess?" suggested Shriya.

"Maybe."

Vivaan looked back at the girls to see them staring at him. He smiled smugly at them and winked. Ruhi glared at him, Suhana faked gagging and Shriya looked away quickly, flustered.

Drishti who had just entered the class saw his boyfriend winking at the girls and felt her heart drop to her stomach.

A/N- I don't think I can ever be completely over Eddie Munson's death. No, I am totally, absolutely not fine after watching him die. It's been a good three weeks since I watched it and I am still not over his death. But apart from that, I want to tell y'all that we are getting some 'moments' in the next chapter because Sara07lucifer would kill me if I don't.

Don't forget to vote and comment.

-I had a chapter ready so why not publish it? My exams are going on, wish me luck!  I might have a good news for Sara07lucifer- I am not writing smut, of course (because they are not 18+ and I am not exactly comfortable writing those stuffs) but some steamy scenes wouldn't be so bad and... for that I will need home delivery of holy water.
