GUNS N ROSES TO PERFORM AT FARM AID.

Superstar rock band Guns N Roses will be performing at the Farm Aid charity concert in Indianapolis for American farmers on April 7th. They will be appearing alongside Elton John, Lou Reed and Iggy Pop among other star studded acts.

The last time the band performed in Indiana, the home state of singer Axl Rose and rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, was in August 1988. The band have still not released any new music since then, Geffen Records still tight-lipped on the upcoming album release date but it has been confirmed that the tour will begin by mid 1991.

The performance comes as details of possible discontent in the group over the band's drug use after the return of Stradlin from rehab, with apparent arguments brewing between management staff and members over drummer Steven Adler's drug use.

It was a sunny day, the mid afternoon warm and the spring air muggy as the breeze pushed its way through the LA skyline. It looked far different than it did on a night, buildings greyed out and the clouds lacking any neon lights reflected up from the clubs below or even the white glow of hundreds of headlights pushing down the avenues.

It was incredibly smoggy, exhaust fumes ricocheting off the rows and rows of traffic, a chorus of car horns joining the miscellaneous shouts of people going about their day. The sun was high up and leaning west, daylight saving time had just passed over and afternoon's were lasting longer before they slipped into evening.

Andy had always quite liked that time, just as the sun started to dip out of her view and the sky was glowing with deep ambers, crimsons and orchids, a display of colour so different from the regular pale blue that shifted grey but not yet at the all encompassing black expanse of midnight with her glittering stars and floating crescent.

Her favourite was when the sun and moon were in the sky at the same time, the crescent rising as the star fell. Those days were rare though, or maybe they weren't and she just struggled to spot them, always somehow inside and away from a window when the moment occurred.

She'd spotted it a few times last summer, looking out the glass across the Nevada desert as lightning cracked in the distance and warm rain distorted the image. She liked the warm rain, she hoped that the upcoming summer would bring more of it to her.

She hoped the upcoming summer would bring so much more than what spring had. The hot stuffy air alongside the clear skies and warm nights, shuffling around under the sheets while the air conditioning was on full blast. She'd like to go back to Vegas for a few nights, feel the arid desert sand and sporadic lightning storms.

Andy thought she'd like to go back to Vegas for more than that. All of August, maybe June and July thrown in as well for good measure. For all time if she was lucky. Just her and Axl, flesh pressed against flesh, breathing in each other as the minutes passed into hours.

A few minutes had passed inside that bathroom but hours had passed in the one down the hallway.

"And you left Amy and Stuart with him!"

God, how she never wanted to spend another minute in the room down before. She didn't want to look at the black tiles and dark towels, the porcelain of the twin sinks and the brass handles on the shower. Axl's shampoo and conditioner on the metal tray, the blue bottles half way empty, and the squeezed up purple bottles of her own.
