Your character comes across a small medieval looking village with wooden houses and dirt roads. There’s a horrible smell in the air like rotting flesh, but you can’t see any people at all. Then, out of the corner of your character's eye, they see a strange sight. A tall man walks across your character's path in the distance. He is wearing an unusual mask like a bird's beak. They think they’ve seen this mask before but can’t quite remember where.

This is a challenge of research. Google Eyam and see what the mask is before your character approaches the person. This is life or death. Research properly or your character will die!

When Debra ended the scenario with the Boston Tavern, she expected to be back at the castle with her husband. Instead, she was alone on Earth outside a small medieval looking village. If it was a new scenario, the AI version of herself did not respond to voice commands and since her magic was gone, she could not tell if this was real or a scenario with her energy vision. She made the assumption real, so dying while not permanent would lose all memories from this moment on. A scenario is an energy to matter conversion keeping the beings held in its center while creating material around them so they can experience all the known universe and time.

The road Debra was standing on had grass grown between two sets of dirt trails made by many wooden wheels. The buildings seemed built of wood with thatched roofs, with only dirt for the road between them. There was a smell of death like rotten meat and nobody was out or about. Debra saw a man cross the road within the village wearing a bird’s beak mask. She knew that meant something, but could not remember what. Her medieval history data were not part of the memories she kept as a human. She pulled her mobile phone out of her pocket to see if it still worked. Its wormhole power and data connections were still functioning connected through time to the future, so she searched for the mask coming up with the black plague. The mask held items to add sweet aromas to the air that the doctor breathed, thinking bad air caused the disease. Knowing that fleas were the cause, she avoided the village by skirting around it to the other side. She hoped avoiding the village would be the gray-haired woman's desired solution to this challenge she found herself within.
