Katie stared back at me in shock.

Ah, scrap. I knew it was too soon. Way too soon. I should have keep my mouth shut.

I looked away from her thinking she was going to yell at me to stay away from her never talk to her again. But instead she did something I didn't expect.

She walked up my arm to my face, had me turn my face to her and...

...kissed my check.

I looked at her in shock. "What...?"

She simply smiled at me. "Heatwave, at first, I didn't know what it was, but when I first saw you, even though you were in your vehicle form, I could still feel the pull towards you."

I gave her a shocked look. "Oh."

Her face then went from happy looking to some what upset.

"Why couldn't you just come out and tell me earlier?"

I said nothing but shook my head and l looked away. She then sighed. "Were you afraid that I would freak out and run away?" I nodded.

"Oh, Heatwave, don't ever be afraid to tell me anything. I've spent a small portion of my life with the Autobots and fought against the Decepticons. I don't scare that easily."

I chuckled. "I'm starting to see that."

I would have never thought I would be able to have a sparkmate in my life.

After a while, something came to mind.

"Katie?"

"Yes?"

"How are we going to explain this to everyone else? I don't think they'll approve."

Her eyes seemed to flash. "We'll simply tell them the truth and if they don't like it, oh well, they can get over it. If they're not going to at least accept it, then their opinion doesn't matter. It's our lives, not theirs."
