"Dude, where did you go last night?!" Brendon's voice carried echoes throughout Tyler's small bedroom, the boy groaning as he shoved his head under his pillow."Remind me why you have a key to my house, again?" Tyler's words were muffled, but the raven haired teen heard them anyway, laughing behind them.
"Because your mom is in love with me," he answers, nose scrunching up as he taunts his friend. Tyler doesn't respond, just takes his hand from under his pillow and flips off Brendon, to which the older teen responds, "Now is that anyway to treat your future step-father?"
The mixture of sounds that could be heard after that sentence was spoken was the squeaking of Tyler's bed springs as he jumped up, the muffled thud of his pillow smacking Brendon in the head, and the shrill sound of Brendon's cackles and shrieks as he tried to cower away from his friend.
"I concede!I concede!" Brendon yelled, pushing his friend off of him and back into his bed.
Tyler shook his head, opening the window next to his bed before leaning back against his head rails and picking up his cigarette box from his bedside table. "The hell are you doing here so early, anyway?" He pulled a stick from the box, lighting it and taking a drag before blowing the smoke out. "Shouldn't you be nursing a hangover right about now?"
Brendon shrugged, pulling out his own cigarettes and copying Tyler's actions. "Hangovers are curable with painkillers and a substantial amount of water, Tyjo," he said with a sly grin. "A blowjob to wake you up in the morning helps, too."
Tyler scrunched up his nose, laughing at his friend's words. "Don't wanna know what you and Dallon get up to, man."
Brendon rolled his eyes as he kicked off his shoes and settled himself on Tyler's bed, back against the wall and legs crossed under him. "I have to hear about your sexcapades, it's only fair you hear about mine."
The brunette teen rolled his eyes back at his friend before leaning over and picking his phone off of his desk, unlocking it to check his notifications. There were a couple from accounts he had push notifications turned on for from various social medias, a snapchat from his brother and one text message. He felt himself smile when he opened the text.
josh dun👽: good morning! hope you slept well ^^
Tyler bit his lip before taking the device in both hands and typing out a quick message.
good morning! hope you did too, thanks for taking me home last night btw
"The fuck are you smiling like that for," Brendon's voice cut through enough to grab Tyler's attention.
The teen laughed gently, placing his phone in his lap as he watched Brendon pull a small ziploc bag from his bag on the floor. "Need my tray," he asked, leaning over to open a drawer in his desk.
"Yes, please," Brendon answered, taking the rolling tray from Tyler's hand as he held it out to him. "Seriously, Ty, who's got you smiling at your phone like that?"
Tyler shrugged, stubbing out the remainder of his cigarette in the ashtray on the windowsill. "I was just texting Josh," he said, shrugging it off once more.
"Dun?" Tyler nodded at Brendon's question. "Is that who you left with last night?"
Tyler definitely didn't miss the suggestive tone in his friend's voice, rolling his eyes again as he fell back against his mattress and rubbed his eyes. "Wasn't like that, you freak," he said with a soft laugh. "He just hung out with me for a bit because he was picking up his brother and he asked if I wanted a ride home. That's it."
