Sitting at the window
Drinking her tea and watching him goIf only, if only

Packing the new comics on the lowest shelf

He knew about his teacher
Mr. Miller doesn't make him speak out loud
But everytime he reads his essays, he's so proudIf only, if only
He knew about the boy of the chess team

He knew about his dad
Since he can remember, they say he was dead
And there has never been somebody insteadIf only, if only
He knew about the love the world felt for him
He wouldn't feel so lonely, he would fit in
But until he knows, he only knows about his selflove
Sometimes this is enough and he reminds himself of
