In which you, the reader, with a dendro vision falls in love with a mysterious lady.

"Are you perhaps.. in love with me?"
.... There was silence.
"Was it that obvious..?"
"yelan it's not what you think– or wait.. are you perhaps jealous?" you stare at her angry pouting face. the sight of her face all puffed up does make you attempt to stifle a laugh though. you couldnt help it after all she was so adorable like that! her usual stern and cold expression was a great contrast from the face she was currently making.
"of course im not! what makes you think that?" yelan hides her face in your hair as she pulls you into an embrace, letting out a quiet "hmph". you smile, laughing as you ruffle her hair. "you know you're the only one i'd ever love right?" that seemed to have reassure her as she adjusted from her position in your embrace. "i knowwww.. can you kiss me please?" with that voice of hers, you couldn't help but give in as you give her a quick peck on the lips.
"see? i'd never do that to anyone else right?" you take her hand in yours, leading her around the harbor. yelan's face flushed from the contact, it was pretty obvious she was touchstarved. but you were happy to indulge her in affection anyways. ——————————————————- as the moon started to rise, a delicious fragrance attracted you to a food stall. it sold some unique looking rice pudding and jueyun chili chicken. something you doubt you'd ever be able to make. but what you didn't expect was yelan to already be ordering from that stall. she was just by your side a minute ago?..
you assumed that it must be the smell of spice. she sure does have quite the spice tolerance.. you sometimes worry for her, watching her eat the spiciest food each restaurant has to offer.
with food in hand, yelan comes running to you, spicy fragrances hitting your nose. "ahem— oh wow.. that smells really spicy yelan. are you sure you can handle it?" your eyebrows raising at the sight of chili piled high on the chicken.
"don't worry i can handle it!" she says with probably way too much confidence.. but you've seen her eat spicier so. she was already digging in before you had a chance to open your mouth. all you could do is watch in awe as she stays calm even with all the spice in her system. yelan lets out a satisfied sigh afterwards, wiping her mouth. "i didn't even realize how late its getting! we should head home now sweetheart." you swear theres butterflies in your stomach at the sound of the pet name, but before you could really focus on anything else, it was starting to get cold. and on top of that, rain was hitting both of your heads. yelan sensed you shivering, taking her coat off without hesitation and draping it on your shoulders.
you admit it was quite comfy... but you didn't want any of you to get sick from the rain. so using your dendro vision, a sturdy, decent sized leaf grew straight from your hands, green particles surrounding it before vanishing. "i've never seen you use your vision much. it's definitely a useful one though." she chuckles as you both make your way home under the leafs protection. ——————————————————-
