"CAN I SPEND THE NIGHT?" Darcy asks, eyes still wide with terror as Kaia opens the front door of her house.Kaia looks at her with narrowed eyebrows. "Are you okay?" She asks quietly, concerned.
Darcy nodded frantically as she stepped inside, not really taking no for an answer, and wanting to get out of the darkness.
"What's wrong?" Kaia asks, after shutting the door and turning around to follow Darcy who was making her way towards Kaia's room. "Darcy?" Darcy was already pacing the room when Kaia followed her in, motioning for Kaia to shut the door. "Will you chill out and tell me what's happening?!" Kaia asks, confused.
"I don't know!" Darcy says raising, stopping her pacing.
Kaia starts shaking her head, she opens her mouth to speaks when she notices the red on her hands. "What the hell is that?" She gestures towards them.
Darcy, confused, looks down at her hands. "It's- red ink. From a pen." She brushes it off and shakes her head. "Kaia, I literally think I'm going crazy."
The door to Kaia's bedroom swings back open. "Who was at the-" Dakota notices Darcy. "Oh, I didn't know you were coming over."
"Go away." Kaia says, turning to shut the door on him.
"What?" Dakota looks at Kaia as he's pushed out the room. "What are you guys doing?"
"Dak, mind your business." She says as he fights her.
"What's on your hands?!" He asks, widening his eyes.
"Red ink!" Kaia shouts. "From a pen!" And finally gets the door shut. She turns back to Darcy and let's out a groan. "Going crazy over what?"
"Something went wrong in that lighthouse." Darcy says, shaking her head, her bottom lip beginning to tremble. The mood took a sudden serious turn. Kaia's face fell out of confusion and turned into worry. "I've been seeing things. People. A woman. She's in my dreams but I saw her at my house. In the dark. I- don't- it's so scary."
"There's someone in your house?!" Kaia asks.
Darcy shakes her head quickly. "No- no. She's not- real. At least I don't think. I don't know, Kaia. A ghost?"
"You saw a ghost?" Kaia asks, trying to make things clear.
"No, yes- I don't know!" Darcy wanted to cry. "That smell that I've been trying to get rid of for so long-"
"The one that no one else smells?" Kaia says sarcastically, narrowing her eyes and trying to make a joke.
Darcy couldn't joke right now. "I found out what it was coming from." She says. "Kaia- it's bad. Really bad."
