It was a rainy day and the gang were in the living room watching some T.V until there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get it" Glen said, and headed towards the door.
When he opened it nobody was there. He was about to close the door, thinking that someone ding dong ditched him, until he heard what sounded like a baby making cooing noises.
He looked down at the porch and was correct about the baby noises. There was a basket and in the basket laid a baby who looked up at Glen with big brown eyes.
"What the..." he whispered, who would leave a baby alone in the rain at someone's house? Clearly he nor any of his friends were capable of raising a child, especially since a few of his friends are murders.
"Who's at the door?" Mort ask in the distant. Glen panicked and the first thing that came into his mind was to bring the baby inside, the child could get sick if it was left out any longer in the cold rain.
He gently lifted the basket and brought it inside.
Ichabod looked towards Glen and raised a brow when he saw him carrying a basket. "Who ordered food?" He asked.
Glen shook his head, "someone left a baby here" he stuttered. Everyone was wide eyed and filled with disbelief by Glen's words.
"You're joking, right Glen?" Willy asked, praying to God there's no baby in that basket, but unfortunately Glen gave a hesitant nodded.
"Let me see them" Mort stood up and walked towards Glen and snatched the basket. He glared down the basket and the boy was right about a baby being in there. The infant looked to be around three months old because of how small it was and barely having any hair on its head.
"What should we do with it?" Edward asked. "Get rid of it obviously! I can't take care of a child!" Willy shrieked. "Don't you have an apprentice who's barely 12 years old?" Barnabas asked, "that's different, Charlie is already a boy and behaves well, this on the other hand is a baby that'll do nothing but cry and poop!"
"You act as if you've never met a child before" Gilbert complimented.
"Hey there's a letter in the basket!" Glen called out with a piece of paper in his hand. "What does it say?" Tonto asked.
The note:
Please take good care of my baby, I can't take care of her anymore."That's all the letter said, there's no name of who wrote it" Glen stated. "So it's a girl?" Barnabas queried.
"That's what the note says"- Glen
"Are we going to keep her?"- Sam
"No, we'll just take her to a foster care and she'll be their problem"-Willy
"I don't trust foster cares, I know how doctors are"-Sam
"None of us are capable of looking after a child! I mean, maybe Glen, Ichabod, and Gilbert since they're the only sane people here"-Willy
"Alright, I'll take care of her, but I'm not fully going to take care of her by myself"-Gilbert
"I'll help if you want"-Glen
"I have an idea, why not we all take turns looking after her"-Sam
"Is that a good idea? I don't want to scare her..."-Edward
"I like this idea!"-Hatter
"The child will give me rum!"-Jack
"We should give the baby a name you know," Sweeney muttered. Everyone turned to Sweeney, he was right, it would be weird referring the infant as "the baby".
