Harry Potter was not a normal 15 year old boy.
Far from it actually.
He was a wizard, a quite well known one if he was being honest.
He's the Boy-Who-Lived and boy did he hated the title. He survived the killing curse sent to him by a mad man. So what? He was still an orphan. He still lived in a house full of people who hated him. Harry Potter was still a boy who had an ugly scar on his forehead, a scar that constantly reminded him of that horrific night every day.
He didn't understand the big deal- and maybe that was because he is Harry Potter, maybe it's because he's only been part of the wizarding world for five years. Either way, Harry figured that if the wizarding world lived like him for a day they'd understand.
Harry didn't particularly care as to the reasoning behind him being a big deal anyway.
Why?
Because he was tired of the stares.
Harry was tired of the fame that came with being the Boy-Who-Lived. He was tired of the wizarding world loving him one minute and hating him the next until he saves them once again from a life-threatening situation.
The stares at the moment were full of hate and/or confusion. He could feel them burning into his back simply because he was trying to warn them that the mad man was back. Only nobody believed him. Nobody wanted to.
Harry sighed slightly as he watched his two friends bicker once more. Hermione threatening Ron with the large book that she had decided to read that morning, he suspected it wouldn't last past lunch with the speed at which the girl read.
"Ronald Weasley, just stop shoving food into your mouth and actually chew it for one second!" Hermione snapped in exasperation, her nose scrunching when she saw pieces of the bacon the redhead had been eating fall from his mouth.
"I can't help it 'mione it's just too good" Ron defended himself, bacon spraying out of his mouth. Harry forced himself not to flinch in disgust.
"You can try to eat it like a normal person" Hermione argued and Harry sighed to himself.
It was always like this and sometimes, like now, it could be incredibly frustrating. He wished that he had some other friends who would stand by him in thick and thin like Hermione and Ron, except these friends wouldn't argue with each other every five minutes.
Just as he was thinking these thoughts that he knew he shouldn't have, the doors to the Great Hall burst open and the hall rang silent. The doors slammed into the stone walls next to them and in the midst of the dramatic entrance stood the Order of the Phoenix. Harry couldn't stop the smile from appearing on his face as soon as he caught sight of the black dog wagging his tail next to Remus Lupin.
Before he could stop himself, Harry hopped up from his seat and rushed over to Remus and Sirius (or Snuffles as he was known when in this form). He leant down and hugged Snuffles, laughing when the dog licked his cheek.
"My friends, what are you doing here?" Dumbledore's voice rang out over to the group still stationed by the door.
"Mind your words, Dumbledore, not all of us consider you a friend" Lucius Malfoy snarled, how dare Dumbledore consider him a friend after his numerous beliefs that rendered him an embarrassment to the wizarding world.
