Milo's POV - two weeks later
As I'm sitting on Sloane's bed studying for our math test, I get an incoming call. Picking up my phone, I see that it's mom calling. "Hi mom," I answer. "What's up?"

"Hey bubs," she replies. "Do you recall a few weeks ago when Tierna ordered you a new binder?"

"Yes," I skeptically respond. "What about it?"

"Well it showed up today so if you would like you can try it on when you get home," she says.

"That'd be great, mom!" I exclaim with a grin. Sloane looks at me weird to which I just smile at her.

"Awesome! Well I'll see you later baby, love you!" she spoke.

"Love you too, mom!" I proclaimed. Hanging up the phone, I look over at Sloane, "Mom was telling me that my new binder arrived."

"Oh that's great, Milo!" she began, "I'm really proud of you bubba, you've come a long way since you first came out."

"Yeah, I really have, haven't I?" I inquire.

Sloane nods in response before continuing studying. I glance back down at my notebook that is sitting in my lap, sighing. "What's wrong, Milo?" Sloane questions.

"I hate studying," I start, "it's so boring! And it doesn't even help me!"

She chuckles and shakes her head at me. "That's because you don't give it enough of a chance," she states, exasperated.

I roll my eyes at her before returning to my notes.

Two Hours Later - Rapinoe-Bird Residence

Walking in the front door, I see my moms are making out on the couch. Now, I don't mind them making out, I get it, they're in love; but once they start getting a little handsy is where I draw the line. I slam the door behind me effectively disrupting the love-fest happening on the couch. "Get a room!" I shout over my shoulder as I go down to the basement after swiping my new binder that had already been opened; probably mom's doing.

Megan's POV
I chuckle at my son's antics. It feels nice saying that; my son. Looking up at Sue, "I'm so proud of our kids," I state.

"So am I," she smiles, "they've both come so far since we adopted them. Charlie is no longer that shy little seven year old girl who specifically mentioned that she loved gouda cheese when we first met," I interrupt her with a chuckle, remembering when we first met Charlie. "And Milo has evolved from being that small eight year old with hair to rival Rapunzal's to a wonderful young man."

I shoot Sue a grin before wrapping my arms around her waist and nuzzling into her neck. "I love you," I mumble.

Sue tilts her head down, pressing a kiss to my forehead, "I love you too," she whispers before we both drift off into a nap.

A/N: Hey y'all, very very sorry for the delay since the last chapter and also how short this one is; school has been kicking my ass and I felt like getting this out. Thanks, Rowan
