"Shit!"
A singular word that for some reason expressed your current distress. Your alarm clock hadn't gone off that morning, causing you to panic, Honestly, you couldn't care less about that job. But it paid your bills.
Being on the sidewalk didn't help your situation either, people constantly bumped into you or crossed your path at least, it irritated you by the minute. Hell, one would say smoke could be fuming out of your ears.
The constant buzzing from your pocket didn't help either. Messages and missed calls filling your home screen all from the same person.

'Linda'

Linda was your current boss, a boss who wanted everyone to be neat and precise. Even tho she was the complete opposite.

A quick click to the 'call button' was made, you knew she wouldn't have the strength to start yelling at your with people present in the room.

A sudden ding echoed through the phone, Linda's voice erupted from the other side, well as much as she could, a low but harsh tone spoke.
"Y/N where the hell are you?! Did you not receive my email last night? This meeting is crucial."

"Yes Linda, I'll be there soon, I'm quite literally standing in-front of the building."
A hint of Annoyance in both of yours and Linda's tone. You hadn't even noticed your work building had been right in-front of you until you looked up. You could hear Linda spewing some nonsense from the other end as she hung up.

Your body moves itself while your mind raced with thought. Some of them about pulling through the day and other wanting to just not show up at all. All of the thoughts came to a stop as the receptionist spoke towards you.
"Well look who came in late."
A smirk spread across his face as you rolled your eyes towards him, pressing the elevator button and standing waiting for the ride.

The waiting room filled with silence as the computers keyboard echoed through the room, keys clacking every second. The ding from the elevator rung as the doors opened. Stepping inside you pressed the '3' Button, Pressing the Button for the doors to close faster as-well as you didn't want anyone else to get on. And no one did. Thankfully.

The elevator ride was quick and content as you finally got the peace you wanted since you woke up. Ever since you started working in this agency it's been work, work ,work.
A groan escaped your lips as the doors opened, exiting out the elevator you made your way towards the meeting room, maneuvering around cubicles and printers and such.

"Apologies for being late, I hadn't realized the time."
Your voice rang as you stepped foot into the room, scanning the faces that turned to see you.
A bunch of old men..Except one.
A young gentleman, a familiar looking one at that. You knew him,
and he knew you.
